I have the Bose Soundlink Mini II and I still get impressed with its power. What a device!
I love the Bose SoundLink Mini - mine is still going strong! They built that baby right!
I have had the Sound link mini for 4+ years and it still runs strong and sounds great. I use it at least three to four times per week. Thanks for the great video!
You're welcome!
Great comparison between the two great speakers, been looking for this! Like you, I also have noticed each detail. Thank you and keep safe!
You're welcome! Please subscribe if you haven't already! 😁
Been waiting for this comparison thank you, I've had the bose for years and have the roam on pre order to complete my sonos home setup, Bluetooth connection is a bit dodgy on my soundlink now but other than that it's been an awesome little speaker.
Glad I could help! Also please subscribe if you haven't already 😁
i have the mini II and its sounds good, docked on the charging cradle with that warm bass
I still have my soundlink mini 1 lmao. So glad to see you still have it too
That’s a classic! I’m keeping it!
@@aaronloudnwireless me too. Mine is made in Mexico. Collector lmao
@@jcdupuy4809 yeah mine too!
@@aaronloudnwireless I still love my SL mini as well. Still works really well. Honestly me owning it prevents me from buying the Roam and I am a Sonos lover. A speaker that size is for leaving the house and much of the tech in the Roam becomes irrelevant outside the home - well except for auto true play. At home portability is all about the Move for me. Also the volume being 20% softer is not good for me. I will always favour a speaker with greater sound projection.
Bose SLM1 for more than 4yrs now and still the best for me.
Love your review.
Thank you!
The comparison between was waiting for. I own and love the Bose Soundlink Mini.

Great review as always,regards.
Thank you! Cheers!

@@aaronloudnwireless I have already some months ago and hit the ring all notification!
I've still got my little Bose SL Mini II too. What a machine.
Glad to see you man❤️
Thanks! Glad to see you in the comments too

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice review Aaron...Two neat speakers...but I'm still happy with my Creative Roar! 😂
That’s vintage like mine! 🤣 Thanks!
I have every single Sonos speaker that they sell currently and I have this same Bose speaker. There is no comparison the Bose speaker here is a work of engineering art.
It definitely is. Although he didn't have any involvement in it, it's the last speaker that was being worked on while Dr Bose was still alive.
Pro tip: watch movies on flixzone. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies lately.
@Hector Tobias Definitely, I've been watching on Flixzone} for years myself :)
@Hector Tobias Yup, I have been watching on Flixzone} for since november myself :D
I agree the Bose mini is a state of art
watching this on my og soundlink mini as well, although I almost have it always plugged in now
Excellent review thank you,
A review that a would see is Sonos Roam vs JBL Charge 5 ( same price ) and why not vs Bose SL mini
I still use my Bose SoundLink mini because how reliable it is. Good base tho
Nice comparison. The Soundlink Mini is a great speaker! I had it for years and was always impressed but I gotta give it to the Roam, it definitely sounds cleaner even tho I'd love more bass. Can you do a comparison with the Marshall Emberton?
Comparison with the Marshall already done here : ruclips.net/video/n0GahIoreIM/видео.html
@@edel79 thanks Guillaume 😉
Best choices to compare the Sonos Roam. I don't know if I could change my mini 2. Still alive and feeling like a traitor to exchange it. Good comparison mate
Thank you! Please subscribe if you haven't already 😁
Terima kasih soo much for the comparison. I was one of them who asked for this in your Sonos Roam review video, and you have delivered.
It seems that the sound profile is very different between the 2 speakers. And definitely can hear the clarity on the Sonos, but the Soundlink has that bit more kick on the low end. I will stick with my Soundlink Mini till it dies. And i will get the Sonos home set up for my living room.
It'll never die lol
@@samakisan It's taking a while to kill it. The sound still impresses me to this day.
@@84jordie Same 🤣 probably why they haven't made a better version in a long time!
Having these is like having a mini home theatre
I know this has probably been asked a million times but keen to hear this compared to the old ue boom 3 and in particular your thoughts on the sound comparison
How do you find the bluetooth connection when you turn on the Roam? Does it automatically connect like the Bose?
Also, how many devices can the Roam remember? And can you switch between devices like you can on the Bose?
I want to see sonos roam compare to revolve.. hope you could do..🙂
What charging pad will work for the sonos
My Soundlink Mini died and was looking or a replacement and this looks like a nice alternative and Best Buy has Sonos Roam for $143.00 Right now.
Please make video about compare between firmware 3.0.0 and 3.1.2 in WF-1000xm3
Should I buy Bose revolve plus or Bose SoundLink mini 2 ???? Which one sound better? Help.....
I have the Sony SRS XB30 but i want something with more quality
So should I get the Sonos Roam or the Bose SM ll? 😵💫
I like the Soundlink for the bass, but also because it's nice and smooth. I don't excessive treble.
I have the SoundLink Mini ver 1 too. I like it's warmer and smoother base, at the expense of brighter details which most portable speakers have. I have the creative roar, emberton, Foxl, but always go back to the bose. It's old yeah, but still going strong.
@@maleman-h6436 I've read that the 1 is smoother than the 2.
Have a Bose , but Sonos at home and therefore have bought a Roam too. If the Roam had a headphone input then I’d be ditching the Bose
Can those 2 link up for stereo sound?
I'm thinking of selling one of my Bose Mini II as I got 2 and buying Sonos Roam but I'm so attached to my speakers it's so hard!!! IDK what to do !!! ;(
Aaron please review the Bose SoundLink Mini II
6:00, the bass in the Bose is deeper than the Sonos.
I have the SoundLink Mini II, do you think it's worth to change it for the new Sonos Roam? In terms of sound quality it's the roam better?
If only there was a video to watch that compared the sound quality
So real question now: should Sonos get into the headphone game? I'd certainly interested in hearing a first entry into the market.
Thanks for the review, friend. I'll be picking up a Sonos speaker today. Been a fan of the Bose SL Mini for along time but it just died. RIP. It's been a pleasure Bose, but time for something new.
The charger for the Bose is actually not proprietary. Any charging port that's circular with a pin in the middle is called "type m barrel". They do come in different sizes and you do need the correct power source but it's technically a standard fitting and not proprietary.
Not only that. Bose can take a micro-usb cable too. And the special edition uses USB-C!
all the reviews for the bose soundlink says that it has messed up firmware that drains the battery life did yours have this issue Aaron?
I noticed this with my Bose. It's from around the 2016 era and the battery is barely holding up now but that could possibly be due to age.
The sound comparison would’ve been better if the phone was considerably closer to those speakers. Sonos is clear, but way too bright; quick ear fatigue. Bose is much smoother and more musical.
To my ears, Bose sounds best overall. With Sonos you only get: Wi-Fi, wireless charging, a little sharper treble. That's the difference, in my opinion save your money if you already have Bose sound link mini 1 or 2. I do like Sonos and Bose.
i personally prefer Sonos Roam.. because better clarity. It has 2 seperate driver for mid & high notes. But Bose mini is loud and strong bass
That's true but you also lose the true stereo. The Bose has two speakers inside that give it that stereo listening effect.
The Bose sounds more musical, hope they update the electronics soon
I wouldn't say it's more musical. Its passive radiator design has a lot of distortion at the low ends. And that's really it's big trick, the unexpectedly wide low range. However, it is very sloppy. Even in this YT video you can hear how much tighter the bass is on the Sonos, even if it is nowhere near as loud. So the Bose is good for certain things, but musicality is not one of them.
Beosound A1 2nd gen
It is no coincidence that a 5 year old speaker is a point of reference and comparison with every new device. I am a happy owner of a bose soundlink mini ii.
Mine is 8 years old and I'm still keeping it. It's a gem
Can you compare it with the JBL flip 5 💯
Mini sounds like my wife when I call her in the bed
The spendthrift one will choose its own expensive speaker as the Top. While the budget one will stick to its own rule , with medium nice full range speakers.
All speakers came from china mostly but with range quality and top branded label
Sonos roam for me...not only for the sound but also because of its other features.
Vocals sound better on the roam more air to breath I have the soundlink and while it's impressive the bass is slightly overwhelming obviously depending on what you listen to will be a plus or a minus
Totally agree
Frequency response chart would tell us more surely?
There's also a lot that it won't tell though?
@@aaronloudnwireless More than hearing it compared to another speaker which we listen through via a speaker? Anyway - I've pre-ordered one and am looking forward to it. The only irritation I have with Sonos is the latency, and the sometimes slow response to commands. Thanks for the review!
Mini was ahead of its time.. its amazing how we still compare ortable speakers of 2021 to the mini.
But for the price of Sonos Roam, i'd rather get Bose SoundLink Revolve
I think I am going to get the Sonos for me dad
Nice!
I saw better performance from ROAM but everyone votes for Bose LOL
lol for real.. wondered the same
It's because they make it sounds more commercial. Tsss booomm tsss booommm
agree 👍
i owned 2 of them and roam definately better
I prefer the Bose, because it is stereophonic and it shows in the test compared to the Sonos.
Bose is the winner and I really enjoy every bit of any sound. Sound from other speakers may sound more detailed but it becomes annoying after listening to few songs. It is suggested every individual to do audition themselves and pick what suits you.
Does the Sonos have microphone for phone call?
Not for phone call.
For google, alexa and sound calibration.
I'll stay with my SRS xb43 😁
It’s a pretty good speaker with Clearaudio on!
@@aaronloudnwireless I'm just a sucker for flashing coloured lights 😂
Sonos sounds better to me, the bose sounds a little muffled.
Bose one is so freaking loud and makes my walls shake lol
Lol how?! Are you watching with sound from a boombox or something? lol
@@aaronloudnwireless nah I was the Bose 🔊 so when I have it on I don't have to turn it up all the way. Otherwise my neighbours banging on a wall ahah
Haha I see... Actually yes I agree it can shake the walls
Can you compare to Bose revolve
Please put the SLM closer to a wall and listen again.
Ehhh it's biggest advantage over the roam is it has stereo!!! The roam does not unless you buy a second one!
Sonos sounds like a sony xb bt speaker with a bass off with live mode on..
Bose sound signature is awesome.
I was thinking of getting the sonos roam to upgrade my soundlink mini but i guess i’ll pass..
Bose Master of sound
my soundlink mini 2 has awesome bass but not 360 degrees
The Roam mops the floor with the Bose.
I'll still always go with Sonos
It's a really nice speaker!
I have had Bose for years. It’s very well built and OK sounding. It’s vocal and mid range fidelity however is relatively poor. Stands test of time.
HomePod mini !
Sonos sounds clearly
Bose has a richer soundstage, so clearly evident. Sorry but I'm sticking with my Soundlink Mini 11
Bose soundlink mini was never great but ok, when you compare it to new spekers it sounds like crap especially after 50%, bass sounds like some effect and turning is completely off... Sonos is quite good but nothing special. btw that light panels look amazing 👏
Sounds like you may have heard a fake Sounlink. There are a lot out there.
@@dr.emilschaffhausen4683 It wasn't a fake one, bought at store for 229$.
Sosnos win
this guy needs hearing aIds Bose was the best
I have the both of them and yes has more bass and volume but Sonos sound much better and you can added to your full Sonos system.... Sonos way better !!!
Roam sounds a lot better. Bose speaker has more bass, but totally sucks at highs.
Bose👍🏽
I used to have the original soundlink. And someone stole it in a party. People said they saw who it was. And he lost all friendships just to keep it. Wtf. I worked so hard when I was 17 to get it. Now I have the harman kardon citation 500 2 of them.
Using mini soundlink to watch this video😅
The bose is really really good for 7 years
They both sound like $hit but hearing is all subjective and if it sounds good to you then who GAF. Personally if you buy these for sound quality I think you are pretty dumb. You buy these to have something to listen to where you otherwise wouldn’t . No speaker of this size sounds any good because you can’t change physics. The only thing these sound better than are your phone speakers and I guess that’s the whole point.
You are right. You can't expect more from a speaker smaller than a bottle of beer.
The Bose mini is a stereo speaker!!!
Sonos is sounding much better to me, fuck Bose.
The Bose's sound signature is more pro and rich by far...
Nice teeth
Ha più bassi il bose
The sonos kills the bose hands down.
Nos SONOS should be compared with a new brand new BOSE model.
it does not. The test would have been way clearer if the bose was closer to a wall. The sonos is closed and therefore projects sound more directly. The roam sucks compared to the SLM2. And dot even start with a B&W T7.
The bass of Bose is better..
So a shame this bose is 7years old, and still beat the new sonos and you can get an bose mini for hard under 100€ makes no sense is this box unbeatable lol
The bass are the signature of Bose, this is not a surprise. Averall sound rendering is better on the Roam. And the Roam is lighter so easier to carry.
if you have a good music with real instruments, it will be 2 times better
not good music here
Not an honest review since the new bose sound link mini II does have usb type c and has many improvements over the first edition. You show the first edition as last. Not accurate or honest. To say the least. Can’t trust your review.
It’s a weird comment since I have never said in any way shape or form that this was version II, but I appreciate your comment nonetheless
