I feel so blessed that I’ve stumbled across your RUclips channel. I love listening to you and watching you create the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen with embroidery and fabrics. I’ve looked high and low for the first video that I saw were you made a snippet roll and I can’t find it to save my life. Maybe you can give me the link so I can save it in my exceptional artist folder. I put your videos on and they play one after the other while I create. You have a wonderful voice and lots of fun stories and you can make them as long as you want I don’t get bored watching with you work. I’ve been sewing 55 years out of 61 and I have learned so much from you! You’ve inspired me like you can imagine! Thank you for sharing your gift and I think it’s so cool that you involve your daughter Lulu into the process of picking wonderful colors and placement. You guys make a great team! I look forward to making my own needle book!
Wow this is so beautiful, and Rachel thank you for taking the time to explain the different stitches and threads, so much to learn for a beginner. I have done a lot of counted cross stitch but never any embroidery until now. Every week you create something so stunning TFS Hugs and Smiles
You make such lovely French knots. My mother did, too, but I can't seem to master that stitch. I love all the different textures the various yarns bring to this simple, yet complex, little work of art. You are a true artist, Rachel. ~ Lisa
Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you for teaching how to do loose stitches and using the bullion in the flowers on the bottom. I am on week 10 but loving it. Look forward to seeing Lulu's watercolor! That was so smart of you to get her to watch a video about it👏💕🐬
Thank you, thank you for showing us your stitching as you go. I love💙 watching how you stitch a piece. Most utubers show only the after product is done, which teaches us nothing. Your using the seed stitch to fill in the petals was ingenious. Great job👍. Have a blessed day 🌈🙏💜🙏🌈
Love to watch you stitch your tag every week. Thanks for telling about the different kinds of threads you can use. New to this stitching and love learning something new.
I've fallen in love with these tags i was doing some embroidery whilst watching last night and you inspired me to be more adventurous with mine. Thank you xx
Oh my gosh what a beautiful tag! I love watching you make your tag. I have learn so much from you! I was pleased with my tag but it looks really boring next to yours. 😄 Have a great week and thanks for the video! 🤗
Really beautiful Rachel, your colors and threads are so vibrant, love the stitches, the knots, seed stitches, couching, all look so lovely. Thanks for sharing your talents.
Hi Rachel, I don't know how you think up these beautiful pictures/ embroidery/ paintings. Keep it up as i am am waiting for the next one. Lots of love to you all Stephanie from England. 🇬🇧🌹😍😃
If you have kosher or sea salt..have Lulu drop some sparingly on wet water colored painting! She'll love it! Oh and while paint is wet flick water from fingers and show her backwash technique! Always used that for my beginners lesson! Fun! Do these on practice paintings at first!!!😍
This tag is so beautiful Rachel. The lace at the bottom reminded me of the morning dew when its on the meadow flowers and it ìs like lace on the spiders webs and grasses. There's so much texture it's just a delight for the eyes. To be honest I'm very tactile and I would love to just touch the stitches!!! 😆 lol I'm such a kooky lady!
Your embroidery instructions are awesome! I love the techniques for making the flower petals with the circle fabric underneath and using 2 bullion stitches for the petals.
Gorgeous tag! Thank you for letting us know which threads you are using and their sizes! Now I know and can go and purchase some of these for my own projects! Thanks!
Your story about your dad and the milky drink made me laugh so hard... In '95 I had my first trip to America, and my friend took me for a cup of tea, or so I thought .... I love tea, so I ordered a large one ... When it came it was a monster tea .. But it was nice tea no sugar ... It was awful ... When I asked for a bit tea the server looked at me like I was mad... Hot tea???? No we don't do not tea. I was mortified... It took me a while to find tea bags I took out with me so I only ever asked for not water and a little milk which I transferred into my travel cup. I never asked for a large tea ever again. ...your tag is beautiful .. I love your channel, your work is gorgeous, you belong to a very talented textile family .
I'm laughing at your coffee story. When I was little, I lived with my mom and granny. I always asked granny for "coffee milk" and she would put a tiny bit of coffee in my warm milk. I love coffee!! Even then.
That's funny how a macchiato can be so different in different parts of the world. In the states, up in the northwest, a macchiato is a latte with shots of espresso,( I usually have 4 lol), chocolate and caramel. Very sweet and very delicious. 😊 Poor Lulu. Thank goodness she has you! I guess there are bad teachers everywhere. Lulu will be a great artist in spite of the bad teachers she's had because of you and your mom. 😊❤️
Just as an FYI I have one of the wool mats and I love it however, I had it on top of my mat like you have and it warped but I was using steam. I’m not sure if you’re iron has steam but mine did and I had to replace my craft Matt. Just FYI I’m just learning with all this so I just wanted to share to maybe save someone else from having to replace there craft Matt. Have a wonderful day. Sandra
Rachel this is lovely. Your designs are so creative. I also have thread envy. Was doing a bit of cleaning my craft area and found some wools. Was so excited. Those silks are beautiful. I love variegated yarns. DMC has Coloris which I just purchased a few of, that are very nice.
This is so beautiful ... I'm going to have to try getting back into stitching for a while I think. My mum was wonderful at sewing and stitching. Also for your daughter...has she seen the RUclips channel called Lets Make Art? They have a very positive and easy way of showing how to use watercolor and they cater to children and adults.
I have thread envy. I think I’ll do what teacher did and seed stitch around a circle. This would do my head in. However: I have to do my ‘scene’ tag still and I’d like to try some of these techniques in that. This is so much fun.
Stunning Rachel and on a tiny canvas! So inspiring, I’m enjoying watching this year as I learn my stitches xxx💕 PS I would happily send on any order you want to make using my address in the UK if that helps?
Hi Rachel - because of you I am so into slow stitching now. I really love doing it. Working on the tags of Anne and I'm up to date now. Buying threads now. Curious which brand (mini) iron you bought. On Amz, they all look toys and I'm sure one is ok. Thx for now. Hugs. Jackie
I still don't understand how you get the loop stitches to stay...not pull out. Is it because you glue it to the tag? Great project. Love watching you create. TFS 😁
