Qiqi ist einfach ein Name einer schwachen Spielfigur in einem Videospiel, bei der sich niemand freut wenn man sie erhält 😂 Ja, die Veränderung der Jugendsprache ist interessant. Nach meiner Wahrnehmung ist es hier eine Mischung aus englisch und arabisch mit rudimentärster Grammatik. Wallah, Habibi, isch küss dein Herz! 😉

Thank you JT. Let me try to explain why it’s popular in the genshin gaming community. 🙂 In this game you have to farm a ingame currency. The so called primogems. You could also buy them but it’s very, very expensive. To get new Charakters you have to send prayers to the gods. So called wishes. It’s a kind of lottery. Between 75 and 90 pulls you get a new five star Charakter. Five stars are the strongest Charakters in the game. But you only have a fifty/fifty chance to get the Charakter you wanted. If you lose the fifty chance you get other Charakters and sometimes it’s a Qiqi. And a Qiqi is a very weak Charakter in this game. So the song is about hoping to get the Charakter you want after investing a lot of! time to farm the currency. But you don‘t get the Charakter you wanted, you get an ultra weak qiqi.
