"If you turn your backs on me now, I will never let you live it down." I just think it's crazy how he had that chorus on his Revival album, which ended up getting a lot of hate and people saying Eminem was washed up. And he followed that poorly received Revival album with Kamikaze, where he retaliated against everyone who shit on Revival. He asked if people still believed in him, and a lot of people said no. And he didn't let them live it down for it. Exactly as his chorus says.
He also said in KAMAKZI that people fell into his trap...Revival being that trap. He got everyone to talk shit about him again then bam...KAMAKZI the the beef with MGK then Music to be Murdered By. Em was 10 steps ahaed
If you wanna hear how much proof meant to Eminem he has a song called “difficult” it’s his tribute to him. Such a good song I think you would shed a tear
If he listens to that he needs to know it was never released and that he was at his worst time of his drug abuse. It's shortly before he overdosed. So the song was made as he is an absolute mess into his drug addiction after his best friend died. Makes it tragic as he can't even say the words properly he is so fucked up.
@@adriannnf it's a GREAT choice, but you have to understand the context of the song. It sounds unfinished and raw because it is. Just a broken man trying to say SOMETHING.

Somebody probably mentioned it but he says "Ima get you jacked up like tryna fix a flat" Jacked up has a double meaning of getting excited and literally jacking up a tire which he says and then goes on to "when you struggle with despair" the double here is when you struggle with the spare (as in spare tire) - the rest is a double about nuts (to a car tire) and his nuts. I'm sure there is more...

Sadly those are the ones with the biggest RUclips channel and making a ton of money off of others work... I also recommended it a few times already but as a heads up: "You're never over" should be on your list soon! It's just so good and super emotional about Proof

Eminem "if you turn your back on me now I will never let you live it down" and people were surprised he's still tight about the way this album was received 🤦♂️
IMO... he was justified. He actually really put a lot of thought and effort into this album you know? Like with tracks like this, Arose, Castle, etc. Like he had the right to be upset. Because people didn't get it. And guess what, like 2, 3 years later, this album has been praised, and it was ahead of its' time in a lot of way. =/
I think Revival was a real underrated album. I won’t even front on my first listen, I thought it was just ok but then when I sat down and really listened to it I ended up thinking it was a great album. And Walk on Water is a great song it has gospel elements in the song but it’s not gospel of course still a Hip Hop track, never understood the hate for it tbh. And let me give you a rundown of what this song in specific is about ~ Walk On Water is the first track off of Eminem’s 2017 album “Revival” and Believe is the second track off the album btw this album came before his 2018 album “Kamikaze” and his latest 2020 album “Music To Be Murdered By” so now Eminem starts rhyming from where he left off on the first track “Walk On Water”. Off the album Revival The track marks Eminem’s first take on a modern trap beat. His flow is slower and more unhurried than on previous tracks and features since his last album, which is notable as it corresponds to a passage on “Walk on Water”, the previous track on the album, where he mentions the public criticism of his rapid and choppy flow on recent works. The slower tempo also imitates the style of contemporary trap music. Yet, Eminem seems to denounce this style with his lyricism, making use of his trademark wordplay and imagery,Contentwise, the song is somewhat a U-turn to the previous song: On “Walk On Water”, Eminem was questioning himself and his ability to create new music that would appeal to his fans, while on “Believe”, he shows confidence and makes clear that he has faith in himself. Yet, throughout the song, one question stands above it all, and Eminem is posing it directly to his fans:Do they still believe in him? Now you might ask why well let’s take it back to when Em dropped “Recovery” Back In 2010 he announced on Not Afraid that he was on his sobriety path and that’s when this whole notion started and some fans/haters started saying “Eminem was better when he was on drugs” & “I like the old Eminem” etc. but Em since then has proved haters wrong with dropping albums like MMLP2,Kamikaze & Music To Be Music Murdered By And is The Best Selling Rapper Of All Time for a reason his longevity, wordplay, rhyme schemes, storytelling, flow, supersonic raps, great songs, relevancy etc.🙇🏽♂️🐐👑✨💯(Please React to Eminem “Guts Over Fear” Ft. Sia Music Video Next!)
He was ahead of his time on the album. When it first came out, people bashed him for being "too political" and thinking "he doesn't know what he's talking about"..when in fact, Em did know what he was talking about, and a lot of the songs on this album aren't even "political" and the ones that are, are actually really good. Not to mention so many heartfelt songs on the album. He had the right to be pissed off at everyone who called it trash...because it wasn't. And years later people realized that
Oohhhh this is a good one, this was off the revival album that got massively hated on. Which I have no idea why. I remember staying up and listening to it all and thinking WOW than woke up and was amazed at the hate it was getting
YES! I am so happy you mentioned you want to get into proof. You know now how much he meant to Em. A good song to start with is "Kurt Cobain" Here is a good lyric video: ruclips.net/video/hY4t72Ozv4s/видео.html And you have to understand that this song was released very shortly before he died, and this song is almost a goodbye song to Em (as well as many others he mentions by name, specifically the members of D12. Which is his rap group with Em). So you have to imagine listening to this song as Em after he died with your best friend writing this. Absolutely heartbreaking. Especially considering proof was shot to death in a bar fight. Love you man.
absolutely! what a great idea, Proof was absolutely nice with the raps, I know Larry is going to like it, because if you listen to it, like he does, it's impossible not to like his art. Edit: R.I.P Proof
Finally unk... prob my fave Em track of 2nd half of his career.. (after mmlp2, is what i consider 2nd half of career, pretty soon gonna need to break it into quarters)
I LIVE for ur Em reactions Larry u really get him and I just love watching u see how special he is and how so many of his fans have heard for yrs so much negative about his music so to see someone that's willing to say boy I was wrong I want to hear more is awesome.thx again Larry
Eminem - Fine Line. You'd really appreciate this song. Very deep. Talking about his struggle with fame etc. A couple bible mentions. One of my favorites .. here's a few lines from it. See if it's something you'd wanna do. So a martyr is how I paint myself And through my harrowin' (heroin) ordeals I’m so vain (vein) I want my respect But ignore the butterfly effect that comes from my dialect 'Til I sit in the dark and I reflect And my reflection shows what it's like here 'Cause this vanity, surrounded by all these lights Yeah, it's like a nightmare (vanity/night mirror) I said, this vanity surrounded by these lights is a night mirror
This song comes right after "Walk On Water" so it goes "Bitch i wrote Stan, and i started from the bottom" That's how it goes when you listen to the album
I can see your genuine excitement to hear a new em song and im so jelous man! I want that feeling again but ive heard everything em has ever released/leaked (prove me wrong stans?) Also.... chris webby "our planet" check it out please man
Proof's solo stuff is amazing! His flow and style is great. His D12 stuff is also good, but his solo stuff is a great listen. Him and Em were brothers basically, and some would say without Proof, Em would not be where he is today. I'd suggest the tracks "Nothing", "Kurt Kobain", "Oil Can Harry", "Brick By Brick", "Black Wrist Bros", "72nd and Central" to start with some of his solo stuff. On some great D12 tracks with some verses from him: "When The Music Stops", "Good Die Young", "40 Oz." (this song he basically predicts how he's going to die..quite eerie looking back), "Revelations", "Loyalty". Start with some of those for Proof songs/D12 songs with some good Proof verses.
"Fanny packs, hour glasses, if time was on my side I'd still have none to waste" Hour glasses represent time running out, and fanny packs usually go on your side/around your waste.
If you listen to some of these songs, I will die happy haha. Thank you for your reactions! 'Love you more'. Yet another song about Kim lol 'My Band' by D12 'I need a Doctor' by Doctor Dre and Eminem. This one is incredibly touching, I'm sure you will like it
"If you turn your backs on me now, I will never let you live it down."

And you have to understand that this song was released very shortly before he died, and this song is almost a goodbye song to Em (as well as many others he mentions by name, specifically the members of D12. Which is his rap group with Em). So you have to imagine listening to this song as Em after he died with your best friend writing this.
Absolutely heartbreaking. Especially considering proof was shot to death in a bar fight.
Love you man.
I was also gonna recommend Kurt Cobain, such a great song from Proof. RIP.
absolutely! what a great idea, Proof was absolutely nice with the raps, I know Larry is going to like it, because if you listen to it, like he does, it's impossible not to like his art.
Edit: R.I.P Proof
I can't recommend this song enough
When you do Walk On Water followed by Believe you can really hear and understand how they tie in together.
Finally unk... prob my fave Em track of 2nd half of his career.. (after mmlp2, is what i consider 2nd half of career, pretty soon gonna need to break it into quarters)
Hello there, been a fan for so long! You should do 25 to life next! Keep it up, love the reactions!
That last verse is amazing motivation
I LIVE for ur Em reactions Larry u really get him and I just love watching u see how special he is and how so many of his fans have heard for yrs so much negative about his music so to see someone that's willing to say boy I was wrong I want to hear more is awesome.thx again Larry
Awww, thanks! I better get more out there since you're living for them! 😉
I have heard this song like 100 times, and I still got the chills as well Haha
You should check out "You're Never Over" by Em. Such an amazing Proof tribute! I really hope it's on your list!
Yes, You're Never Over is a great one
Yea EMINEM the best
A song I really remember from proof is “Kurt kobain” it’s worth a listen for sure
The perfect example why I like Em is when he rapped, Struggle with despair. Finishing a fixing a flat tire bar.#The Spare#Despair
Eminem - Fine Line. You'd really appreciate this song. Very deep. Talking about his struggle with fame etc. A couple bible mentions. One of my favorites .. here's a few lines from it. See if it's something you'd wanna do.
So a martyr is how I paint myself
And through my harrowin' (heroin) ordeals I’m so vain (vein) I want my respect
But ignore the butterfly effect that comes from my dialect
'Til I sit in the dark and I reflect
And my reflection shows what it's like here
'Cause this vanity, surrounded by all these lights
Yeah, it's like a nightmare (vanity/night mirror)
I said, this vanity surrounded by these lights is a night mirror
This song comes right after "Walk On Water" so it goes "Bitch i wrote Stan, and i started from the bottom" That's how it goes when you listen to the album
Infinite by Eminem 🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌
forgive me (proof) is one of my favourites good music video too
You should do legacy
I didn’t see it on your list
Another good one
Cool new intro! loving the channel, keep em coming!
Fine Line - Eminem
Song goes hard
I can see your genuine excitement to hear a new em song and im so jelous man! I want that feeling again but ive heard everything em has ever released/leaked (prove me wrong stans?) Also.... chris webby "our planet" check it out please man
17th !!😂
Awesome lyrics. Em is crazy good 🔥
lol
"if time was on my side, id still have none to waste (waist)"
I would add How come to the D12 list. One of my fav. Great list
When do we get Eminem week? ;)
Al I got you! 😂 lol
😁
"Fanny packs, hour glasses, if time was on my side I'd still have none to waste"
Hour glasses represent time running out, and fanny packs usually go on your side/around your waste.
If you listen to some of these songs, I will die happy haha. Thank you for your reactions!
'Love you more'. Yet another song about Kim lol
'My Band' by D12
'I need a Doctor' by Doctor Dre and Eminem. This one is incredibly touching, I'm sure you will like it
