This week we're in our second to last week of training for the PTO Canadian Open Triathlon in Edmonton. We're training in Banff/Canmore in the Canadian Rockies, and loving every minute of the beautiful scenery. We have a gravel road tempo run, a bike workout around Lake Minnewanka, and an easy, beautiful, open water swim to finish off the week.

Oh man, that drop into Paula's tempo got me so amped (12:00). The music, the mountain background, the workout buildup, her strength and speed as she heads out-all so cool!

BC is gorgeous, i highly recommend Banff, Jasper and David Thomson all amazing places located in my home province of Alberta!! Some of the most beautiful views you’ll ever see :)

The stuff you guys think is boring is actually quite fascinating to many of us. Love all the beautiful shots but the bear spray discussion was very interesting for someone from Texas.
Its a requirement for running races and Xterra triathlons in Canmore, they make you show it at check in...

You're there, training, in such a beautiful place. I've wanted to go there for many years and now I'm in the "when" not if phase. Wonderful video. Mental training math challenging the mind, body, and day!

One of my first triathlons had the swim in Two Jack Lake and the bike course was the Minnewanka Loop. This brings back all the memories! Also LOL'd at the bike clothing layers difference between Paula and her sister.

i like all of your videos (often a fantastic bit of my Sunday), but i particularly loved this one :) dunno if it was the stunning views or the music, but it was all awesome! i don't even do triathlon but i want one of those crew sweatshirts haha

Our grandkids always want to know what grams does when she sees a black bear on her run…..grizzly’s are a whole new level:-)

On your shopify, you should be able to edit the theme to add a favicon. A favicon is the little icon that browsers show in the tab next to the page title. Not super important, but would help make the site look a tiny bit more polished and professional. Overall been loving the videos. Great work guys

Paula, what do you think of the wahoo watch vs the Garmin Fenix?
The wahoo is SO much easier to set up and I've never had to reset it, get it warrantied, etc. I would say GPS reliability/accuracy is about the same. The garmins do have more widget features and stuff, but if you just want a running watch, I find that is all extra
Details on that bear spray you’re running with please? Getting into trail running and this would give me some peace of mind… at the 14 min mark
ahhh... It's just regular bear spray sold in every sport store in the Rockies haha I'm not sure how to buy it in places without bears walking down the street 😂

Classic bear spray! Do you guys ever worry about/carry protection for mountain lions at home in Bend while trail running or gravel biking?
No not really.. I haven’t personally met someone who does or who has a mountain lion story, but I’ve thought about it
