there is that robe that adds your charisma a second time to your beams. with your permanent mage armor and a shield + the boots with +1AC you still running around with 21AC. If you piked up the spell sparkler or the Phalar aluve, you add another 1-4 damage per beam.

5 levels into Battle Master Fighter, 7 levels into The Great old One Warlock, with Pact of the Blade. Make sure to pick any of the races that get Darkness at 5 and get Devil's Sight and Hunger of Hadar. Also get the tadpole power that allows you to ensure a crit once per long rest. For cantrips, get EB, Friends and Bone Chill (amazing against anything that heals)
Or you can go pure warlock and do more dmg lol 😆 but if your having fun with that all good. Warlock is not typical spell caster they very broken spells words and play mid ground combat very well allowing cc as melee or high long range dmg with cc.
Hexblade Vengeance Paladin slaps so hard! I'm 4 paladin and 2 warlock. It's nice to have a ranged cantrip and hex. Darkness and devil sight makes the multiclass so OP!
As someone who sucks ass at these kinds of games due to the mass amounts of different abilities, information, and effects, I thank you. Making shadowheart a healer while i do really good ranged damage is perfect for me.
little tip... if peeps are struggling with the warden, if you go in while he is not looking at you, and quickly close the door, the rest of the prison wont attack, make sure to kill an eye if it comes in tho.
I struggled but i realise that killing those "vision eyes" first helps quite a lot, killed them before anyone notices. I got lucky that nobody died on my final run haha!

Fiend is likely the strongest of the 3 patrons in terms of the skill boost being pretty insane but the off the bat temp hit points are not that great. They require a kill which is fine but 4 to 16 you might as well just have false life at will for that pathetic scaling when you consider the damage output of any of the dangerous enemies act 2 to 3. Resilience while a very solid passive is also obtainable by gear which makes more optional however all of the level 10 patron passives really are middle of the road to me and useful albeit niche or optional. Also a potential frightened on crit is surprisingly good if you're reliant on heavy dw cantrip/off-hand attacks. Btw no Hunger of Hadar? I mean hold person is good denial but HoH is just one of the the best crowd control options in the game. Black hole or void bulb into a hunger is straight up a killer for ranged mobs and a devastating option when you consider EB's push potential.
Yay, P4wny in Baldur's Gate 3! Tiefling warlock is my first character! Only difference is I went with an Asmodeus tiefling for an extra Hellish Rebuke spell at level 3.
Very nice video. I really like the idea of pure warlock(fiend ofc) like you as well, although I went with pact of the blade, because I wanted to try out spelldrinker. Fire shield is really amazing and if you get the invocation devil´s sight you can use that in combination with the darkness spell and totally dominate your fights, because you will be able to see through magical darkness, but enemies in the darkness will be blinded and ranged attackers can´t make attacks into it either, so it´s kinda op :)

Necromancer Gale creating bone archers or ghouls, Halsin swarming enemies with fungal zombies and Wyll aiding with his own summons and firepower Even though my main character is a spear throwing dwarf berserk, he still is a valuable asset throwing his pike into backlines and protecting party casters with his 90 hp on lvl 5
big recommendation, run a single level of fighter rather than medium armor proficiency. You gain a LOT more proficiencies, second wind, and it takes nothing away from your level 12 build it would seem. You don't get the +1 in dex but between the items and armor you run it is not a loss.
@P4wnyhof medium and heavy if ever you want a heavy armor build too. Gives lots of flex Edit: usually I take the fighter level first, but with extra attack at 6 and not 5 that can be a big loss depending on the build but I think yours it wouldn't be too bad.
Assuming its like 5e it also scales so it will target 2 people as a 5th level slot. 2 Turns is a rough nerf though. They should have dropped concentration with that nerf.
Why? it's literally free damage. then switch it out at level 5 for better options. but in the lower levels the damage its hard to beat. I haven't found a reason not to use until higher levels.@@P4wnyhof
I can see that, but to be fair, there are very few fights where I've actually needed to use potions (at least on balanced mode), and Hex generally only uses maybe a couple bonus actions per encounter depending on how many trash mobs there are, but over the entire encounter, you're not really casting hex all that much in the grand scheme of things. @@Dgalvez420

How do you get 16 in const with those stats where they are? I've litterly copied everything but no matter what I do I can't get 16 in const and still have 17 char 8 eid 8 int 15 Dex and 8nstrength.
It depends on what you shove down :D A big boss? Maybe you don't want to do that Strong random mob that probably will only drop bad weapon? Sure go to death :D
It depends if there is another place to push them too. If you can change position and blast them into a wall/or somewhere you can still get to the body after the fall is a good way too
I was also using my rougish arts for lock picking and stuff on this char and never get pushed away (athletic checks) constitution is great to not get concentration broken! Choose your poison :D!

While the guide might be good, it's a bit awkward to have it focused on "Early game", then procced to show and talk about plenty of the classes end game "spoilers". 3 minutes in and I've already seen more late-game area and spell spoilers than almost any other "early" guides out there, to the point I'm closing the video.

Warlocks are weak mid game. You only choose teiefling if your using melee. Warlocks dont preform to well early game till fireball shatter. 17dmg is not alot at lvl 3 or 4. Other classes can do 21-28dmg. Lvl 7- 9 warlocks once again fall off. 10-12 they become balanced with other classes.

This is honestly a terrible build. 😂 Tiefling is a bad choice. If you pick it for Mage Hand, you may as well go Githyanki. You're going to get way more use out of Misty Step than fire res. Minor Illusion only works the way he's using it if you know what's coming up, which you likey won't if it's your first playthrough. Burning Hands x2? Scorching Ray!? Why tf would you waste a precious warlock spell slot on scorching ray when you already have eldritch blast? If you want to play a summoner, dont even touch warlock. Go spore druid and have up to 15 "pets." You really burned a warlock slot on misty step. Im done... after taking Moderately Armored, this went from hilarious to sad. Nobody should listen to this man.

Also didn't realize dumping all stats (including wisdom, the most common save in the game) to their bare minimum, while pumping all others as hugh as they can go somehow wasn't considered an attempt at ultra min maxing. Tell yourself whatever you need to "be right." Wouldn't have to be a wall if text if there weren't so many bad decisions. 🤷♂️
Thanks for making me realise that i dont want to play a dnd type game. Has more buttons that wow, more complications than a nerd stuck in NASA. Think i will nicely stick with D4 now, hopefully S2 will bring it. Time Dump in D4 isnt so bad, this one looks like a life sucker lol

Yes, The +1 dex basically gives you 1 more AC, which you can get by selecting Defense as a weapon specialization in lvl 1 fighter.

Resistances don't stack. if you got Hellish Resistance, that all the fire resistance you'll get, any other fire resistance is nullified.
Your first lvl 1 spell should absolutely be Hex without question...

Swords in general is better but it's melee focus, if you don't want to be melee it's not gonna be fun.
Only thing time gives you is the ability to animate a corpse. So you would only be missing your zombie if you’re doing summons.
