I'd be interested to know why you felt the service on the ground let this flight down. From what I can see it's the only flight timetabled to leave Ouarzazate Airport before 8am in the morning so at the most there would be around 70 departing passengers. The distance from the gate to the aircraft at Ouarzazate wasn't far to walk and when flying on an ATR72 into an international airport such as Casablanca I'd expect to arrive on a remote stand and be bussed to the terminal. Onboard looked fine in my opinion, there was a beautiful sunrise to observe out of the window and I'd have been glued to the window watching that.

Well the departures area was very small, and even with 70 passengers it felt a bit crowded. I dont know how they do it when a 737 comes in! Plus only 1 shop was open, the others were closed, perhaps because of the early hour or the fact that we were the only flight that day. I get that OZZ is a more regional airport but it just doesn't deserve as much praise as others. Ones in Morocco like FEZ and RAK are quite modern and beautiful, albeit they are larger, but it just gives the impression that no one cares about OZZ.
You're quite right about the remote stand - in fact I much prefer these as you get to be up close to the planes!
And i agree with you that onboard looked fine. The seat was quite good for a regional plane. Everything that was there was fine, it was just what wasn't there - the service! For a flight of over an hour on the regional subsidiary of a major international airline i wouldve expected something small to eat, or at least a menu to purchase something. There was no reason they couldn't serve anything as the FA's were just sat down chatting at the back of the plane for most of the flight.
