It is operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West) and serves as one of the city’s main railway terminals to the north. The station complex includes JR Osaka Station and six neighboring stations such as Hankyu, Hanshin, and underground stations. It is used by approximately 2.3 million people every day.
•The station is part of the Osaka Station City complex, which includes two towering buildings to the north and south, with Osaka Station at the center. The South Gate Building houses various stores like Daimaru, Pokemon Center, UNIQLO, Tokyu Hands, and more. The North Gate Building is a shopping building with areas like LUCUA and LUCUA 1100, which house clothing stores, cosmetics stores, and other types of stores.
•However, due to the station’s large size, many people, including Japanese locals, often find it difficult to navigate. Before you go, you should know that JR Osaka Station is located in Umeda, an area made up of seven other stations, including Umeda, Nishi-Umeda, Higashi-Umeda, and Kitashinchi. All these stations are connected underground, so you can walk between them.
