- Obama's America is a parody of the song American Idiot (by Green Day) hopefully taking a satirical stab at the fawning devotion that has been expressed over the course of the Presidential campaign.

@mbabist01 You can still find that one using the URL at Archive.org It was taken down by at least 4 months before the election because it is blatantly saying that the Government can quarter whomever they want in your house to force charity so long as they are not soldiers and have it be technically Constitutional.
I'm just afraid soon someone will come along saying I talk back too much. There was already one night where John was doing the show out at the main table and my name got said more in the episode than Cam's was just from my talkbacks being read.
I also wonder if anyone else realizes that the other lower quality vid is how it sounded over the stream, that's where the sound in it came from. It was also the audio used to show the sound wave. That's why it has flat spots that you can spot.
I end up responding not just to what is said but sometimes even add a note on things that seem to be in error. Like recently when the show came back and the music kept playing even as I could see Mike McCarville talking in the stream. I doubt I'm the only one to do that. I just have trouble avoiding chiming in whenever I see something I feel I should comment on. And I do get self conscious about it. I even occasionally send in a talk back with my E-Mail asking them to stop me if I over do it.

I was talking about his lack of completing a full term in all of his previous elected positions.
When an official has yet to stay in an elected position long enough for a re-election to that position there's not really any information to look at to see what his constituency thought of the results of his time in that position.
I feel allot safer about the experience of people who won re-elections in their history. That's all.
@Spokavriel People wanted to BELIEVE that he was change, wonder if they're embarrassed yet? They cheered EVERYTHING he said, no matter how ridiculous. 9.08 - "...and when I become your president, I will stretch forth my hand, and the seas will calm, and the oceans will stop rising." That was live television, and he was cheered for that blasphemy.
@Spokavriel One that was on his website, which was taken down during the election, was his answer to homelessness. His solution? If homeowners had room, they would be forced to not only take in a homeless person, but to feed and clothe as well. If people were forced by this "solution," homelessness would end because those persons would be EXTERMINATED by an enraged public.
Doing a double since I ran out of space. Just felt I should also point out that yes I do know that the original Green Day song was written somewhat about George W Bush.
Its a fun song and this parody from the other side of the aisle is also fun. Sadly even the parts I wasn't certain about when I made the slideshow have come to pass almost worse than any former Hillary proposal for similar changes had been.
To each their own. I just wish our Democratic Party would have given better options.
@mbabist01 No clue. But ask yourself. Why did the Census forms ask how many bathrooms bedrooms and the ethnic information of everyone in the household this year after Obama made it so that the Census was being ran through the White house this year.

The lack of info is something I place solidly on the heads of the Press. The last 2 years they did not press for solid answers on any issues and not just accepted but asked for fluff. Heck they couldn't even bring themselves to ask any constitutional law related questions until a couple weeks after the Election was over. Even with the Heller Decision saying that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to self defense and that it does cover bearing arms in the home.
Well I'm not offended. I know I can't sing. I sound worse than Cam and if you notice at the start I did point out it was sung by him not me. If I tried to sing it the video would probably have been removed as hazardous material. I'm that terrible.
@Shroomington I didn't write the parody. Just put pictures to it. And you might want to check the date. This was posted back before he was elected. I didn't want him to win. And its kinda hard to emphasize the actions of a person before they are in a position where they have the power to take action.
The most I could really complain about before would be what he claimed in his books and the fact he was less than half ass in all his elected positions. Always voting Present and taking both sides.
I'm not sure where you were watching Bush speak if you never saw him complete a sentence.

I don't think anything beyond inciting Riot or panic by say talking about a Bomb on an Airplane or Fire in a theater should be touched.
But look at Obama's press conferences he's pre-approving all the questions and not even trying to get to know the reporters names.
He's censuring by not acknowledging any media agency that would ask him a hard or serious question that he doesn't want to answer.
That is not a free press. Sure they can still print whatever they want but info is still a hostage.

They can read, but they didn't. Otherwise they would have seen that he is providing exactly the changes he said he was going to try to make.

Look up the 12th and 17th amendments. They changed voting and broke the system for it that the Founders created in hopes of avoiding elections being just a popularity contest where people in office only had to be well known instead of beholden to the states.
He's American.
While he does have an, I believe, Step Father who is Kenyan and has gotten citizenship in that other nation the Constitution doesn't allow someone who is not a US Citizen to hold the Executive office. So if he was not American he could not have legally ran for the office in the first place.
And trust the nation enough that if the Republicans could have gotten him out of office that way they would have.

@Spokavriel Only a certain number of forms were that intrusive, although mine DID ask for ethnicity. Ethnicity is borderline illegal; if I remember correctly, the census is only to COUNT LIVING, LEGAL PERSONS. So, if ALL the forms asked for how many bedrooms, bathrooms, and what ethnicity the family was, how many White families would be stuck with the homeless, as to how many minorities? I think we BOTH know the answer to that one.
@13420erica Yeah we are. But we were under Woodrow Wilson, and FDR as well and we survived it. Find your friends and do what you can to make it easier to survive the next 6 years that it will take, minimum, to get through the bulk of Obama's messes after we get him replaced.

I'm actually a little afraid of what could happen before the end of his 4th year. He has a track record of never completing a full term in an elected position. So just what is he going to do. There is no longer a higher office in the land for him to run for.
He spent the last half of every prior elected office he held campaigning for higher office. What is he going to do next? Try to get other nations to appoint him King of the UN?
How is getting sick of the Press treating a decent man like a Demigod and expressing that Racist? It doesn't matter what race. The press acts like this I find it rather sickening.
Two things I am wondering if you checked.
1 The date I posted this video. It was back before election day by a decent margin.
2 The inauguration coverage. If they got any sappier making, comments about the Seagulls even, I'd be wondering if the world has enough insulin to cover the diabetic shock.

@1000 Hours At The Library Technically the way it was written it would be illegal for anyone to write anything on the internet in a Blog if it used a politician's name 3 months before an election. Only smaller special interest groups (Small like the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence) and Media Conglomerates were going to get exemptions. Thank you for answering my question. I just have a broader idea of people that look like me. And Kenya's biggest problem seems to go back to the government out there not trying to do much of anything. It might not have been so bad if they didn't get left alone by the UN because of their problems being declared internal by the security council.

@mbabist01 not going to argue with you on Lincoln because my research there is 15 years rusty but I do think a bit more research into the periodicals and writings of the time might change your view on the legality of the Civil War. There are things that contributed under both of the Roosevelts as well. Even though I will always like that Teddy gave us Zoos and the National Park system. It took allot of actions to make Obama's America possible. Some bad and all the bad parts need to be undone.
So you don't want to clarify your beliefs because I mentioned the wrong region for a source of ancestry?
To each their own but in the future please consider that stated intent to cause harm to an elected official/world leader no matter their ancestry can end up problematic.

Little note on the Video Response to this Video from bobkat2000. I don't fully endorse the way it is presented and wish that it also had commenting active. Just remember Different People different views. But there are allot of reasons to be Anti-Obama. It just happens to be another one. I still think the best reason is that Obama has not strongly supported anything that contributed to continuing American Freedoms. Check the voting record.

Please don't just say that here. Use the contact form on the Whitehouse Web site and let Obama know about it too. And if you are able to contact your Senators Govonor and other people elected to office too. Stopping Obama on this one isn't easy no matter how idiotic and harmful the proposal is.

Some really smart people did make and sing the song parody. But as to having to be smart to see all this. Obama posted most of it himself in a PDF on his campaign site before the Caucas to name the party candidates. All it took was reading that.
I really think that if everyone who voted for him had only just read his own posted proposals he wouldn't have gotten most of the votes he did.

I'd rather get a more experienced Black Gentleman. I'm really hoping nothing will happen to ensure that Obama ends up keeping to his track record of not completing a term in elected positions. He has yet to ever have to try for re-election anywhere.
That is awesome! The only problem is that they confuse their political ideologies (liberalism is leftist ideology while fascism is on the far right of the ideological spectrum). But other than that, absolutely BRILLIANT!

It's bad enough that he got elected after posting his proposals that many people are declaring shock that he is actually trying to do.
If the people that voted for him had so much as tried to read the PDF he posted to his web site back around August before the election he never would have won this election.
If the Disclose Act dies in committee, which hopefully it will, then at least this threat got dodged.
Between this and the "Fairness" doctrine it keeps getting harder and harder to find liberals that are actually trying to help anyone among the communist proposals trying to strip the core liberties from the Constitution.

@davedavedaveannoy1 If only they had looked before he got elected. This doesn't say 2 years ago until 2 full years have passed. This was up here more than a month before he won the White House. All of the things he is doing was spelled out on his campaign site. Well maybe not to the full extent on Healthcare that is why I didn't defend that line when someone brought it up earlier but the rest of what he has done these first two years was there.
The last time I saw the Press as obviously staged as the Health Care Dog & Pony show was in archives of Castro and his private pet press during his rise to power in Cuba. Difference being I think he killed all the reporters that didn't support him the way the so called Whitehouse Press Core is now doing for Obama.

That is why it is so important to read up on people look at what they have done with previous elected positions and also actually bother to read their campaign site.
If you don't Vote for someone who does the things you want to have happen in the future of the nation then you are not part of the Democracy.
At least Hillary wouldn't have been so idiotic with the budget. Sure she would have tried to reinstate the failed assault weapons ban but she was even a better choice all around than Obama.

@Spokavriel I would say that not only the Democrats, but the Republicans as well. Sorry to bash the GOP. I'm still conservative and all for the Constitution, but the GOP was pretty much strayed, wanting to be "all-inclusive." Pat Buchanan got it right when he said that you stick with your core beliefs, and you run with that. That sort of conservatism is coming out now, but we'll have to wait and see if it's a sea change.
Lemmings sometimes work together to get to the coast. It doesn't save them from going over the edge together.
I agree that my voice does suck which is why I didn't attempt to sing that. I still have yet to see a single thing come from Obama's administration that has had any beneficial effect for the country.

Good people we need, to help take us back to what the country used to be - not what progressives and commies want. "For evil to triumph, good men must do nothing." The original Hillary & Obama Seal image had blood on the bat and all over the ground. Hillary looks so deranged even without the red puddles.

The only parts I can think of that don't fit Obama are Small Town America, Bitter Agenda, and the Healthcare bit which was more a Hillary thing.

We the American People got 1 good guy Chris Christie into office in NJ and now a majority of people instead of looking for the actual good people to promote to office in their communities are trying to beg him to take the Presidency. Before he even gets to help the people who elected him to State office. They want to take him away expecting him to save the whole nation without giving him the help needed to actually turn things around. We need good people everywhere!

Well that depends on what succeeds and what doesn't. We, as in all of America, need him to succeed on some form of domestic energy reform. As well as reducing the National Debt. If he can succeed there without killing off all our industry in taxes it would be a good thing. I don't know anything else he wants to do though that I can think of that I would want or see America needing right now.

My #1 problem with Obama has nothing to do with his skin. It has entirely to do with what he is doing. Right now about 60% of all federal powers are being supplanted by Tsars. Sure the practice started back under Nixon but it has never benefited anyone whenever one is appointed.

I can't really consent to the term Euro Trash. Although I do agree that Obama's stance on the Global Community would be allot safer with him in another UN nation that doesn't have liberties that need protecting. Read the Bill of Rights Read the Constitution that Obama supposedly taught courses on. How can you teach what your every action in vote shows you do not know? And yet the people on TV end up accusing McCain of being someone to ignore the amendments. I miss news that did their research.
Ran out of room. The thing is if you look you can find Obama was both for and against the Iraq war waffling depending on the month and audience. I'll keep my flags up cause no matter the administration I'm still an American and whomever is currently in the Oval office our history has earned at least that much respect with me. While it's true No One is stopping me the economy makes it so there are quite a few road blocks to relocating. And really moving to another nation to wait out the 4 years is kinda pathetic. It would also take away allot of options to keep up with the local state politics that would still be effecting my family if I did go.
I guess it's easier to support Obama when you won't have any risk of living under a man who has voted to make people who act in self defense in their home criminally accountable for the injuries of the criminal. Between comments in Obama's Audacity of Hope and his voting record I keep having trouble finding anywhere he didn't do all he could to make the world less hazardous to people committing crimes in inner cities. If he only once supported the law abiding I might not have been so opposed.

I don't see how anything Obama has done with GM is good for industry. If anything it could hurt corporations making them worry about the same occurring to them. Risky moves that would normally help the economy grow are going to be taken overseas so that they can at least not have Feds up their arses to try to force business to go the way Obama thinks it should. People worry about a Slippery slope well this just took a trip on the Planetarium Gravity well demonstration. (Coins and a funnel)

The reason I don't want to "Live in Obama's America" is because I am worried about what kind of changes he will be in a position to try making in a few weeks here.
A few waves of a pen from the office of the President can do allot. And if it's on a Treaty with the UN other nations won't care if it doesn't get approved by our congress or have any validity in American law.

I don't like Obama as an option for president because there are fewer than a dozen times since he has been in office when he has not been on the losing side of any of the available votes. Meaning he has been against almost everything that succeeded while he was in office that he didn't pass up the vote on. And then to even do this campaign he has been more dishonest than most lawyers while breaking almost every agreement he made since the primaries. That is why I don't like Obama.
2010 vote democrats OUT
