The series is brilliant. The actors are amazing. The clothes are very beautiful and elegant. Great teamwork all round. A thoroughly enjoyable narrative. Greetings from a Polish Australian.

I love how Cennet hesitates even though she was at Safiye side season 1 had amazing and complex characters season 2 made everyone one dimensional with nonexistent character development

Horrible torture. But we see that Cennet try to save in her own way Anastasia. The moment I started to love her.
23:34 We can be disagree a lot to Safiye , she is very darwinist much more than Hurrem and Nubrnau, is power hungry and can make horrible methods. But on this I was with her, she had to think about the transition. And later Kosem would understand her when she had to think after Murad is gravely in danger and to assure that Kasim will be the next heir instead of Bayezid.

I love ertugrul but I don't have the heart to watch this. Too many women became twisted and suffered over this Sultan. He couldn't protect his women. Every clip some woman has gone rogue and become evil. Am good. 😂

26:17 Halime is so impatient to be Valide Sultan.
She is acting like Mahidevran(in episode 55).
With her actions, she bringed her sons to downfall.
On the other hand she is right, but also wrong at the same time.

Halime show and historical had some parrallel with Cersei. She is very good and smart to have power ( not one but twice) but when she gets power she can't handle it probably because she was impatient and vengeful

@Leo In fact I don't think she hate Ahmed even if she planned to kill him.
Halime acts out of desperation and anger. She can't trust anyone anymore after the man who 'cherished' her (Mehmed III) lets her be abused by Safiye (who is much more dangerous than Hafsa) and worst of all kills her first son 15 years old only in atrocious conditions (even if she had made mistakes it was totally disproportionate).
Then later the law of fratricide is not over and even if Ahmed spared Mustafa, for her there is a risk for him ( especially when show Handan want to execute Mustafa)and from now on she will do anything to avoid suffering again as she did, even if it means the worst hits. And if the man who "loved" her (after all she was the favorite concubine) betrayed her why not the others?
I like Halime as an antagonist, she is interesting and I would have liked more antagonists like that (with Safiye) but the problem is that after Mahmud's death she became toxic and many of her misfortune as well as Mustafa's and Dilruba are involved in her (she should never have contaminated Dilruba so early in politics and Mustafa found himself locked up partly because of her) but there are many more explanations and empathy than Gulbahar .

I really dislike the institution, women forced to stay loyal and compete for the affection of one man just to stay alive, and that one man doesn't need to stay loyal nor is caring about the problems he cause the women.
Forcing those brilliant women to fight other women and to bear kids from one man. Only for those kids to get killed to prevent succession crisis. It's just really messed up for me.
