- I had a PET scan last week to check the results of my chemo and radiation treatment for my neck cancer and everything came back clear. I was not able to eat many foods due to the treatments, but am almost back to normal.
I watch a lot of creators on You-Tube and have included some designs from some really great ones.

Thanks for your concern. I quit smoking in 2000,and stopped drinking before Christmas last year, so am trying, now just 3D printing!

I know it's weird to hear this from some stranger but there were several cases of cancer in my family and I used this video as motivation to refresh what I read about cancer treatment and prevention.
So for your PET scan they use something called the Warburg effect. Cancer cells consume more glucose than normal cells. This makes it possible to detect them with radioactive glucose.
From my understanding, of what I have read in Outlive by Dr. Peter Atria, elevated insulin levels increase the activity of PI3K in cancer cells. This enables cancer cells to consume glucose at an increased rate. To slow down the growth/lower the cancer risk, you'd want be on a caloric restriction as well as switching to a diet to have your insulin levels as low as possible.
PI3K inhibitors in combination with low insulin levels seems also like a promising treatment once it has reoccurred, too.
I'm just a random guy and it can be that I understood things wrong. I can highly recommend the book because it's based on scientific research. If something is beyond our knowledge he communicates it.
You probably did research into this as well.
