I keep forgetting to ask about the fresh grass on the floor. What does it mean in Ethiopian culture or spirituality? I've never seen anything close here in South Africa... Thumbs up for another beautiful video...
I just watched your video again, this how it looks when you live outside of metric "metric move" which we are living here...anyhow did you guys ever try to open bank accounts from USA through embassy? or do you have information? I am grateful for you information you give us.
Hi sister thank you for sharing your beautiful life, I have question for you about yellow card and did your kids got yellow from USA or in ethiopia please let me know I called ethiopia embassy couldn't not get someone to talk to rather your answer from experience would be great.
Hello! Thanks for watching 😊. We all got our yellow cards in Ethiopia (including the kids). It’s much easier to do the yellow card process in Ethiopia than from outside in our experience.
Hi👋 Could you talk about what is the U.S taxation experience in Ethiopia? I mean do you get taxed by the U.S government in Ethiopia even if you live abroad as a U.S citizen?
Yes, U.S. citizens are taxed based on their citizenship not on where they live. There are certain tax exceptions when it comes to living abroad, but I would recommend talking to a tax professional about that.
We’ll do a house update video soon. We don’t drive here yet. We use a ride service similar Uber called Ride and other forms of local transport (not buses though lol).
@princesslivingfree Super! Agreed! I also have 3 sons...Best to you all, with life in Addis. What employment options are there for new comers. Is there a community that is available for ones who desire to live there in the future? Again thanks 😊

The grass symbolizes newness (new beginnings and prosperity). It is usually put out during holidays (holy days).

Thanks for supporting 😊 We already had US bank accounts before we came and still do.
I meant to say diaspora accounts from ethiopia embassy located in Washington DC we are flying out to do that if it is existence in USA.
@@oreobaddie9 Yes, you are able to open diaspora accounts with a foreign currency (e.g. dollars, pounds, euros etc.). We have not done this.

Was wondering what’s the progress on the house? Any news on when it will be done? Also do y’all drive there or just commute by Uber & bus?

Ohhh... What's the name of the restaurant at the end of the vlog and where is it?
That restaurant is a chain here called Chanoly.
Will definitely be trying them out - those portion sizes look impressive!
Thankyou for letting me know.
What is the name of this area
Bole
Hi PLF😊 What are prices like for various hairstyle options there? Thanks in advance 🎉
Hey!! Hairstyles are much cheaper here than in the U.S. The braids I got costs the equivalent of $30 (USD) and that was at an expensive place.
