The orange wire for steering wheel control ( open the cover under the steering wheel and connect to wiring ) then you have to go into the manufacturer setting in the software of the canbus to choose the car model
i came across your video just now, just so happened i bought the similar cheap type of radio for my 2014 silverado lt, the harness however that came with my was a bit different, the black n green big plugs were the same but hte third one top that you did , on my did not fit anywhere so i left it out, on my screen to find the volume controls wasa mess, i even contacted the seller with no luck, they sent me a digital manual that did not even match the unit or mentioned or show the answer to my question, found out to access it(thanks to my son) by scrowling downward on the screen, now my best point, the orange harness, goes under the steering wheel ,after removing (carefull, its hard to reinstall) the covers,it sets tightly right under ,unplug and replug at same location, route the two single terminals to behind the radio, and here gets interesting, THATS NOWHERE TO PLUG THEM INTO, so really dont even bother..lol..unless you finf the stock wires and splice on to them...(let me know)...good luck.!!!
Open the box at the bottom of the steering wheel and find the black plug, open it and plug the harness with the orange wires in between the halves the long wire goes to the wire on your radio harness , it will control your Volume from steering wheel
@@lsgueroyes, eventually I had to go into the protocol settings and changed mine to some xinjiang then into the 14-18 silverado sierra then it worked however I lost the lights on the steering wheel control Then for volume it goes up by 2 and songs skips by 2
The orange t harness goes under the steering wheel and the small wire will attach to the green wire with a clip on it that is located on the main wire harness.
What about the backup camera? I connected the harness to my HMI and to the wire that goes to my factory camera, and then into the radio. It shows, but the issue I'm having is that it's black and white and it also has it segmented into like 8 different boxes.
Anyone else have issues with the steering wheel control and backup camera looking weird, or like 4 camera views but black and white using the backup camera harness retention plug?
I did all that, everything works, but no sound. Found another post that said because it was a Bose, the factory amp has to be bypassed and have to install an aftermarket amplifier.???
You can order an adapter that goes from the radio and plugs into your factory camera harness located behind the glove box. Just look up factory backup camera adapter for your year vehicle and it should pop up.
I am having the same issue. Bose system, all powered up, but cannot get any sound. Also do not seem to have a harness to connect to factory back up cam. 🤷🏻♂️

@jrockmedia5866 Sometimes, you're going to have to put an aftermatket camera for it to work with the screen pixels
