I was only able to cop a Switch Lite because of the shortage, and I still say that I am enjoying this jrpg as it stands.
I’m about 10 hrs in and love it so far. I have the 3DS version, but held off to play this remaster. XC2 is one of my favorite games of all time and this game is similar enough for me to quickly get accustomed to it. Looking forward to the journey ahead! Great video as always!
This one is so much better than xc2, it goes to exciting places
@Reiner Braun fair enough, I just feel like xc2 took 4 long chapters to actually kick off the story. I still love the xc2 location and the mysteries, just too much of "pyra is bad at cooking xD" and other animeesque tropes.

Being able to tag my current main story and side quests are so useful in this version. Getting lost for hours was one if the reasons i wasn't able to finish my 1st playthrough in the 3ds.

Great analysis! I also had a hard time finishing the game on the Wii, had to re-do the first half thrice before I finally decided to finish it on the Wii and it's now my favorite game. Gonna get the Definitive Edition on my birthday, after wrapping up some other games on my backlog.

I had the same problem with lost Odyssey. I've had a disc break twice my save deleted once and my 360 broke. I literally can't finish it and the game is so good.
it took me three startovers till I finally beat FFVIII so I feel you on not completing this one multiple times. absolutely loved the Wii version of this tho, and when i eventually get a Switch, would love to try out this Remaster!

This review was really helpful. I’m new to Xenoblade, but I’ve heard so many good things I feel like I have to give it a try. Any thoughts on whether or I should buy this or XC2? It’s seems like they’re the same price, I’m just wondering which is better.

Play both but i like more xc2
Xenoblade 1 is a much better game and regarded as a true classic, far more so than XC2

for real though im right there with you as far as starting this game and never finishing it. only once for me tho but got 20 hours in and just stopped playing lol. Here's hoping this is the one for us! (also i was playing the game while watching this :D)
I don’t like the new models as much as the old ones.
This remaster looks great, just not much of a fan of the more anime-looking character models, similar to 2. It just screams “we did this because modern Nintendo consoles aren’t very powerful”
