Valverde killed that team by disconnecting them and playing a different tactic, check out his strategy and starting line up in Rome, he stepped in the game with too much confidence and no desire to attack, completely disconnecting the attack from the other lines, tied both full backs and literally waited for Roma, he thought he will suck them in and exhaust them but he completely forgot that their strongest point is their stamina and physicality, conte or carlo ancelotti or inzaghi wouldn't have lost that easy and conceided THREE goals, losing against lfc is kinda understandable but losing this way to AsRoma is just unacceptable, he could've entered the match differently, scored a goal early in first half and end it there but no he came to chill and do sightseeing in Rome... When it comes to Spanish clubs valverde knows them very well but against any European club he just improvised and it showed big time.. even in the group stage u could tell he's clueless about European competitions of this level..

@@zamasurawat2247 No, it is not his fault because Messi created 3 key passes in the Anfield game (to Coutinho: who passes it to Alisson -_- | to Jordi Alba: who failed a good goal opportunity | to Suarez: who basically disappeared in that game). He also made 2 shots on target but Alisson and the defense blocked well Messi's attempts. The thing you should ask is "Couldn't Barca keep the clean sheet or not concede 3/4 goals?!?!?!?", that's the damn question you should ask yourself. And same story for Roma, why did they concede 3 goals in the first place?!?
