- A giant Fog Worm from the Precambrian period attacks and engulfs Connor's head whole, but luckily Cutter was on hand to kill the Worm before it could cause any fatal damage to Connor. This Primeval Clip is taken from Primeval: Series 2 - Episode 2 (2008).

I love Primeval so much. My favourite show, it's a masterpiece.
I will always hope that Primeval returns with season 6, there is no way they would let it just end with that huge cliffhanger.

Darren Horley was the designer of Primeval's creatures during Series 1-3, and he also designed the Worms in King Kong (2005), so the similarities are definitely not a coincidence!

It did ... but in Canada and they butchered it and the Canadians were not the fans that the fanbase built up in the UK and it was discontinued, the new series was called primeval new world.

are the worms real like from the prehistoric era or fictonal
The closest thing in the fossil record is a type of priapulid-like worm named an Ottoia. However, the only specimens found are approximately 8cm in length. So if anything, these animals are an exaggerated version of potential reality.
Yeah, there's a lot of exaggeration when it comes to these worms, but it's not impossible to imagine the Carboniferous having something like this instead of the Pre-Cambrian.
It wouldn't surprise me if they existed alongside the giant dragonflies, spiders, arthropluera and anything else from the Carboniferous.
What makes it worse is that those worms have living descendants called the penis worms. xD
