Just to be clear:
In some countries, such as the Netherlands, having any flashing lights can get you instantly fined.

Thanks! That's good to know and always best for people to check their countries laws. In the UK it used to be that you could only have a flashing light IF you had a solid light as well, but that seems to have changed
