The ending was a bittersweet moment. I couldn’t stop crying..even when I tried too.. it just kept on rolling down… it truly hits deep into the soul.. I can say this one tops 2023.. historical drama release, thus far.. amazing cast, production crew, director and producers.. etc..

For once I wanted tantai jin to be happy 😭 like all his life he got abandoned, betrayed, tortured and never felt loved. Li susu loved him so much but in 3 lifetime he only met with a sad ending.

Because of this, she is known as chemistry queen. She has told that she and lu yunxi has learnt how to kiss more realistically and passionately during love is sweet by watching k drama kiss scenes. She wanted to give her best in every scene to her viewers. So, just assuming that she has a huge fanbase because of intimate kiss scenes with her partner is kinda disrespectful. Many of her drama doesn't even have kiss scenes. Arsenal militery acadermy has no kiss scene and in that drama, she was acting as a girl who pretends to be a boy. For that she could have used wig but she didn't, she really cut her hair for making that role realestic.
This drama has been so hard to follow. I have had to go back a rewatch episodes to try to follow plot. But my love for these two kept me watching. Their chemistry is unparalleled in cdramas.

just finished watching this drama. when my sister saw me she taught something happened bcoz my eyes were so swollen. i really want tantai jin to be happy. he deserve to be happy. it was so unfair for him. i think anyone who sufferred what he did would have a high chance of turning evil. what he needed was someone to help guide him. to show him that there was still someone who will protect and care for him. which is exactly what ye xiwu had done for him. it was so sad that it ended that way, but i firmly believe that he will be back and at that they will get the happiness they so rightfully deserve. sorry for the rant still can’t get over it.
I did not cry at the last episode. Maybe bcos I already cried a lot during the 500years ago when they were still mortal and Ye Xiwu sacrificed herself for Tantai Jin. And how much Tantai Jin cannot get over Xiwu's death and tried killing his self, too. I am contented with the finale, bcos Tantai Jin left Li Susu with a daughter. And to note, they actually both save the world.

According to the novel, ye xiwu was dead in the first ep during the bandit attack when she fall. Then li susu's soul entered into her body
I finally found someone who read the novel. The drama was superb and fantastic but the angst in the novel is something beyond!
In the drama too. Su su entered her body after she fell. That's why she didn't know the bandits were hired by ye xiwu.
it's not like that xiwu was just negative side of susu so her soul is vanished when susu entered her and she become completely now

@Roslyn160 that first Devil fight was the future that was going to happen but her sect sent her back into the past to prevent it. So never happened only in her memory like a story no one else knows except Tantai Jin who saw what would have happened in the magic mirror
