Henrik, David and Sylvia offers up a sacrifice for the Rocket Katana. This time it's a 550 size RC helicopter.
Please don't try this at home (we're what you call insane).

Yeah... turns out I have a real talent fur turning helicopters into shrapnel. On the bright side, I learned a lot while rebuilding it three times...
A word of advice. Mow the lawn, that will greatly increase your chances of recovering lost items.
Downside is you'll lose those surprise find moments
I often find myself saying "rocket knife!" at random times during the day now. Also, this series is turning out to be pretty epic! Nice job David and crew!
I rather give the heli to a kid who really wants to have one dude seeing a kids smile after giving it is much more fulfilling rather than watching it being thorn apart for nothing

I get what this man is trying to say, and I think he has a point, I wonder if David will use all the knowledge and experience he's acquiring about rocket science to put a katana into near orbit or something :D

Dear Ivan, it’s all about doing what we love... Not many people are able to create a rocket knife like this... Watching David having fun is the most fun thing, this is what youtube is for!
In the slo-mo you can see the reflections from the mirror as it broke, really cool.

David, you should incorporate the rocket into something that flies. Maybe a tricopter? A long burning RC version that you can make hover with thrust vectoring? I want to see your creativity put into the RC community again!

On one side I hate seeing such a cool and perfectly working heli getting smashed, on the other the slowmo footage was really really cool, so I get the point.
That was dramatic. Maybe the funniest one of all so far.

Bytheway, you should place the table a bit back, so that when the knife hit the target is still guided by the rail, so that it remain vertical during the collision.

From someone who survived an UH-60 crash in the late 80's. It's not the impact that causes most injuries but the flying debris.

The impact from the UH-60 was intense but debris from the engines and blades was embedded in some fellow students causing two deaths. Because of that incident, even today, I refuse to be around rotate wing aircrafts including RC.
Beware enemy drones, skies of Sweden are protected by rocket katana.
Dude, now that you have done a heli in-flight...... You should do a balsa plane in flight and then a foam plane in flight for another episode as a "comparison." 😆👌🏻👾👏🙏🏻🤘🏻🤞🏻✌🏻

I'd like to see a laptop, a keyboard and a CRT monitor smashed with the Rocket Knife. You should also make a Rocket Knife Heavy with the same principle as Space X's Falcon Heavy. It could even be a Rocket Axe, if there was three motors powering it.

Yep...a whole 7 years of it...Chaos prevails, randomness pursues quickly...now wouldn't you think, that could've been at their heads not at the mirror...we may never see that in post edit sadly.

David - Love what you're doing. You make it fun to watch.
Question - Why do you not hit the objects BEFORE the knife (in this case the Katana) leaves the rail? It looks as though it loses quite a bit of kinetic energy as it hits. I'm curious how much cleaner some of your "cuts" would be with the knife on the rail.
The force on the knife/katana would be transferred back through the sled to the rail, so might damage the sled or the rail. This way the knife gets abused but the rest of the moving parts usually stay intact so they can be re-used for more experiments.
Watch the 22 water bottle episode :) Like Martin said. It would annihilate the poor sled if the object presented a bit of resistance

I got a suggestion. Include the gopro on the rocket. probably mount it at the back of it. then protect it with some glass or something. it would be awesome to watch in slomo when the blade hits the subject.

Jara FPV yes and no. The blade is not very thick. And the blade does not always cut fully though an object. Cut a go pro and bring it in to best buy. 'What happened to this?' " it exploded" lol
ehh that's easy. put a stopper on a gopro mount once it reaches the end so it will not go along with the blade through the end. Probably a hook on the mount then it will clip on something on the rail so it will stop.
You should "rocket axe" a small log, like splitting wood for a fire!

Nice video's but mabe its time for new vinues? A good tank battle revisited would be good. Those are always great! Mabe add a plane or two in the footage. sam missile shooting down the good guy,whom steals a tank behind enemy lines and blows up all the bad guys,because they think he is really one of them,but in the end,a missle takes him out. Hey,its a suggestion ok,I am trying to plant the seed. Come on other You- Tubers,help me along with this.

These videos are very entertaining but just caution as to where the channel is going. I think it turning into a techrax or gizmoslip type channel would not be good. Simply don't start getting wasteful and destroying a ton expensive and working things just because of that. Otherwise, loving the rocket knife series so keep up the good work.
