Resin is the best way to get the most details out of miniatures, but the process can be restrictive for a lot of people. But what if you could pay an industrial company to print your minis for you? In this video, I had JLC3DP print out some minis and bases so I could see how much printing and shipping would be for this exact situation.

maybe use a light black wash to fill in the cracks and show detail
Can you describe how these were protected for shipping? If they are well protected with bubble wrap or similar that would contribute to shipping cost; materials and package size. If the protection is well done, I think the shipping cost you showed is reasonable.
I only have experience with JLCPCB shipping and that was just unpopulated PCBs so they didn’t really need protection.
Each model was individually bubbled wrapped and secured with tape. They came in a cardboard box lined with styrofoam. They were pretty well protected.
