Arne and Carlos, I just want you to know that I have learned more about knitting from the both of you than anyone. You have made it so simple and taught me so much. I tried so many times to knit before but became frustrated and quit. Your tutorials have made it fun and easy for me. Now I just knit up a storm.

I had quite a lot of sock wool, which was not strong enough for socks. Thanks to you, now I have a wonderful blanket instead ! But on top of that, you have tought me not to be so scared of mixing colours. Putting different colours together can give quite amazing results . Thankyou very much, dear guys .

I love the philosophy you have about colour. All the colours in the blanket and the one's people pick out are all found in nature. If you look around you'll notice mother nature doesn't worry if reds go with green and they do because it's all there in nature. Garter stitch is family friendly too. Rugged. It's a great project to relax with.

You two are SO charming, talented and inspirational. Thanks to you, I'm digging out all the bits and pieces and digging in. I wish you continued success and thank you for showing that men can be just as creative as us women. (But, my husband still isn't interested in knitting or crochet! That's okay - he has his own talents and he's very encouraging and accepting of mine. Can't wish for more than that, right?)

I have just come across this video. I would love to knit this blanket with all my left over yarns. What I would like to know is how to join in the new yarn on each row so that there is not hundreds of loose ends to sew in. Your answer would be much appreciated. Thank you for sharing this free video. 😊

Just subscribed, you two have voices that calm me, thank you for great videos! I’m going to be making an Afghan using a chunky yarn and going to try 250 stitches in length like you say because I need it a bit longer anyway, hoping it’ll be 6 foot long at least but whatever happens, happens lol.

Hi I love the variety you two have! I cross stitch too! I’m more of a crochet person and learning to knit more so that’s why I just found your videos. I love garter Stitch stockinette is ok but don’t like curling I like seed but takes a lot to concentration. Garter is very meditating for me. For stash yarn did you use heavy or light fingering wt ?or DK ? When you cast on why is it length instead of width like I do with crochet?
I’m very curious because I’m new and want to make a blanket yours are beautiful I like to crochet stash yarn sitting outside but don’t have such a lovely view yet I’m moving soon and will. Thank you I’m glad I found you channel 💗

Hi I love knitting so much my hubby thinks it's an obsession. I love how simple this blanket is and think I'm going to give it a go tonight. I just want to know - It looks like you are only knitting one row for each colour - would that be right? What do you do with all the ends - Do you weave then in?

Hi from Australia , Iam loving your podcasts. I was wondering why you are using circular needles to knit a blanket? Are circulars easier on the hands and arms as I always use straight needles for everything.

@@ARNECARLOS this helps a little. I was looking for something with socks, but that ‘s ok. I think I’ll just let the needles find the space in my fingers and go with it. BTW, I love that you don’t fool around with 49 ways to join your knitting in the round, and instead just forge ahead & snug up when you work in the ends. That’s how Granny did it!♥️🎄

hi arne and carlos i was wondering if you could help me with a pattern i found that i really want to do but i'm confused on 2 of the rows, it says cast on 4 then knit 2 rows then the rest of the rows knit 2 yarn over knit right across till you get the required number of stitches then on row 4 and 5 it says knit 2 turn knit 2 turn and that's the bit i'm stuck on as i've seen other videos on youtube that do the turn and wrap but haven't found any that just say knit a number of stitches then turn though so if you could help me out i would be so very grateful thank you
