  • We take a quick trip to Tobacco Bay Beach in Bermuda. We were on the Norwegian Gem Cruise ship staying in the Royal Dockyard in Bermuda for 3 days. The Royal Dockyard is at the Western end of the island. NCL supplies a free ferry boat to St. George's on the Eastern end of the island.
This was recorded in April 2019.

I have been to Bermuda 30 some times. I lost count after 32. You just walked right past the little cottage I stayed in a couple years ago. I stayed for 6 weeks and that still was not enough for me. I love the little parish of St. Georges. People are so friendly and I now have so many friends on that island and it feels like home to me. I fly there and get an apartment or small cottage and do my own cooking most times because it is a very expensive island. I found myself talking to you and giving you directions as I watched your video. Tobacco Bay is my favorite little beach to walk to while there. Of course, I go in April/May and it is not so crowded. I may get back by ship next year, but flying there is getting a bit more difficult now that I am older and alone in life. I travel alone all the time, so this is not a big deal for me.

There are many fish to see at Tobacco Bay, mostly around the edges. Nice video of the walk to the bay.

The block are made of Coquina, a sedimentary rock of limestone and shells.

Do you have to walk or can you rent golf carts or bus?

There is Pedego Electric Bikes Bermuda near the ferry terminal. They rent electric bikes for $60 a day. There is also Oleander Cycles. They rent mopeds. You can probably get a taxi to Tobacco Bay. Thank you for your comments and don't forget to subscribe.

Is this the NCL’s “St George Treason - Tobacco Bay beach” excursion? If so, I’d hate to think you paid $300 just for the ferry.

We were sailing on the NCL Gem. We took the free NCL ferry over to St. George and walked to Tobacco Bay. It didn't cost us anything until we rented the chairs at the beach. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.

@@stephenedwards9341 It's about 15 miles by boat. We think it took about 45 minutes.
