- Kitty Daisy & Lewis are no ordinary band. The three siblings -- now aged 15,18 and 17 - first came together onstage at a country and rockabilly jam in a North London pub. Over five years later the 50s music, fashion and technology obsessed family have built a massive word of mouth audience through a stream of rapturously received gigs and festival appearances and are ready to release their first long player on Rob da Bank's Sunday Best label on 28th July 2008.
The single 'Going Up The Country' is a perfectly rounded summer holiday feel-good jam, full of harmonica solos, handclaps and lyrics about leaving the city smog for fairer country hills. Coming out on 7", authentic 78rpm 10", CD and download on 7th July 2008.

I like it-it's good to see young people performing classic tunes and putting their own signature on the song. They really combine different eras and genres of music in the video to give it more depth.
So much talent, all three of them...and I cannot stop watching Daisy as she bounces while playing the drum.

I saw them yesterday in Caldas de Reis, Spain. I knew nothing about them, but they were so amazing everybody was claping, dancing and shouting. They definitely won me over!

the original wasn't by canned heat... they cheekily ripped it off and claimed it as their own. the lyrics were actually written by beverly white in the 1920s and the tune has been derived from a song called 'bulldoze blues' - written by henry thomas in 1929.
and if you don't like this you need to clear your ears out son! ;-)
Saw them deny the american music influence in an interview. I suppose you can lie through your teeth in a big way when the gaps are that big. I still like em. They are way too good to deny it.

Omg I first saw this video when I was like 11 years old and I loved it! Wasn't able to find it again cuz I didn't remember the song title nor the band name. Now 10 years later the original track was a background song in a movie I just watched and I recognized it- googled the lyrics, got the title and here I am :D Such a weird feeling if you try for years to find a certain video and now it finally happened :DD
