You make a veeery convincing argument! Personally, I've had a pet theory for a while that Ryokugyu doesn't have a Devil Fruit, but advanced Haki and perhaps even Life Return. See, the talk of him not eating for three years always makes me think of how Kumadori describes the training to use Life Return; it's very much the kind of ascetic training a hermit would do. And there are lots of tales about sages or immortals who have incredible powers, but don't eat food, only surviving off of dew and mist. I just think it would be a fun way for Life Return to become relevant again and to have a different kind of Admiral in more ways than one.

Green bull looking bigger than Fuji is probably just the anime studio being inconsistent with sizes. It’s always been a thing in one piece.
This is a very fair point! I've checked chapter 905 (p12-13) for the manga equivalent and although the scale seems to be better there; Greenbull still looks like quite the large figure that he is...but that's what I expect from Admirals. :D

I think his initial outfit will be a Marine attire (suit with tie), befitting of an Admiral for formal occasions. He can later unwind himself and wear clothes that have more to do with his personality or cultural background. Hell, he might even strip himself to a bare chest during battle as a way to be freer than the restrictive clothing. Either way, it is possible that we could see him wear even the Wano style you mentioned!
As for sword…no idea honestly haha. He might be a guy who fights with his fists and devil fruit alike…haven’t yet seen any vibes of a swordsman yet.

Ryokugyu doesnt talk anything like a samurai in the sub. He might be related to ushimaru in someway
His name (Ryokugyu) means *survived or excel linage* ryo=Survive kugyu=bloodline
That is true. Perhaps Greenbull’s alias has multiple meanings rather than just the animal, as is the case for Japanese words.
Do you think he is an Oni like Kaido?? He is taller than an average human and the codename green bull could be because of his horns on his head

I was thinking about both Green Bull and Fuji and their origin, this is my little headcannon.
Fujitora and Green Bull are born in wano. Much like Oden, they feel bored by the little world they're confined to, so they decide to leave the island and see the world. However, on their travels they see the true evils of the world. I'm gonna use Jinbe and Arlong as a parallel here, as Fishman island and Wano are both oppressed areas and share similarities. I think Oda wants to portray the two ways of responding to oppression, the Jinbe response, which is to strive for peace (obeying Otohime's wishes) and the Arlong response, which is rage at the system and an urge to enact his own justice. Fujitora had to blind himself to stick to his morals and retain his 'Humane Justice', but Green Bull soaked it all in, all the horrors. Thereby formulating his moral compass and thus giving birth to his own 'Personal Justice'. Additionally, this would align with the infared spectrum idea that's been floating around, since he could could either kill them or help them, it all depends on him. I'm still not sure why they'd choose to be marines, maybe destroying a system from the inside? Maybe just for the privileges that come with the job? I can't wait until we see the flashback someday. Amazing video dude!!

The infrared-ultraviolet spectrum was coined by Ohara and I took an adage to that in my recent video and your "personal justice" idea would fit Greenbull really well! Thank you for your detailed thought, I'm really excited to see what Oda has come up for this character!
Honestly agreed with the literally 99.9 of the theory but only thing which you just hinted at is what if Ryukuga’s isn’t “Personal Justice” but more like “Corrupted Justice” Which also means he really dies whatever it he wants while repping the benefits of basically being an Government employee.

Hey there brother, thanks for dropping by! I do like this idea of Greenbull being connected to Wano in that way...perhaps he simply lived in the Ringo region and then immigrated out of Wano later on. Now personally, I don't know if Greenbull is a powerful, sword-wielding samurai...perhaps he will be or perhaps it's just some fist fighting style haha. Imagine if Greenbull was a servant or retainer for Shitmotsuki family?

I was also skeptical about Ushimaru being Green Bull. Although the green theme, fasting and bull kanji character lines up (and also that he seems to be from Wano) nothing about them is similar. They dont look alike and their personality isnt similar either, dont have the same laugh, and it doesnt make sense for someone who was a daimyo for a pirate would then join the Marines. Only makes sense if he lost his memory and became a different person. There could be some connection to him though, maybe hes a sibling or friend of Ushimaru and Zoro will face him later.

For some reason I picture Greenbull to resemble Mark Ruffalo in some way
this is a complete left field choice but perhaps Green Bull's speculated plant powers does not come from a devil fruit but rather his race a Kinokobito a mushroom person which Oda has included plants alongside mushrooms like how all the Minks can be made of different mammals.
I like that train of thought! When I was searching about this topic after you mentioned it, I came across that one Kinokobito person who was captured in the book of creatures during Whole Cake island....and he seems to possess multiple legs. If there is proof that different mushroom people can possess a number of legs (such as 2 or more), then you can apply that towards Greenbull as well.
maybe it's both, a mythical zoan that could transform into a plant like creature like a dryad, he doesn't have to be an animal look at sengoku, if he is a plant creature he could use photosynthesis meaning he really doesn't need food if he can make his own, since oda like Chinese/Japanese myths as the MZDF it could be a penghou/hoko myth which is a tree spirit

If Greenbull is based on a character that will betray his allies he may be conspiring with Fugitora.
Zatoichi is loyal (to his personal code) and those he deems worthy he has no issues betraying those he thinks using and hurting others.
Zatoichi is one of my all time favorite characters, if you haven't seen movies please do yourself a favor and watch them.
There are over twenty movies and one crossover Zatoichi meets Yojimbo.
Yojimbo was played by Tishiro Mifune, he was my personal favorite to be Greenbull's design.
Definitely will. I have seen a few people considering Yojimbo as the design for Greenbull so no qualms with that!
