This was quite the interesting video; very fun to watch and great commentary. It also seems like they should start limiting the kart speeds during yellows (or just call a red flag to make catching for the drivers in the incident a bit easier) since it seems like everyone is colour blind at Teamsport karting although this does include members sessions too. Personally if I'm in a race for positions and people in front of me are speeding on yellows, I try to drive just fast enough to keep up with them if I can. Lastly, do you know if the other got any warnings or penalties for the yellow pace? there's no way you were the only one
@@kaykarting Makes sense as there is weight classes. Personally BIKC isn't my thing as I don't live near a Teamsport with my closest being 55 miles away.
@kaykarting Update: Will likely enter 2025 BIKC as 1 I'd be 16 and Teamsport Bournemouth is opening in December so I can actually have a track locally.
3:55 Funny that happened because in my regionals at Brighton we didnt really speed off like the guys ahead did but we (top 5) got slapped with a 7s time pen meaning that the person in 6th junped to 1st in the heat
@GingerKarting i would have to sadly be 16. Im giving the junior category another shot this year hoping i can claw back the result i was looking for last year
Ikn ur pain that im a heavy driver Can i give tips that if u do bikc just have fun and do hard racing hey im no gnius in karting actually with the elite driver im just a rookie to them and they are just crazy fast but ye u did what u can
Thanks man! I tried my hardest but just couldnt keep up with such little practice and with the track not suiting me one bit but will come back stronger next year in the heavyweighy catagory
Juniors have no weight category which sucks. I wasn't karting as a junior but I would have definitely struggled since I'm so tall. Driving against 38kg drivers is insane
@@kaykarting That is my main reason for not entering either, I weight around 75kg, but that's still several tenths off the absolute lightest. And I also live in a county that does not have a Teamsport either.
honestly this race was a joke and wasn't setup properly, they decided to get the karts like a week before and they weren't setup properly and also there was no space to practice since there was so much hype for a new warrington with new karts, they need to stop juniors having one overall weight class and bring a more club100 style to racing (11min prac, 11min quali, 11min prefinal, 11min final and a,b,c to that so everyone actually has a chance of winning a final or the championship) there was at least a 60kg gap to some drivers from you and its such a terrible shame there were so many "scandals" in so many championships (lw, mw, hw, jnr and cadets) in one weekend. they should also mix it up a bit with the finals, warrington is way more accessible to some people compared to people in london who cant get to warrington easily, they need to mix it about and use some other tracks for once
It's much worse for people in Scotland that have to travel really far for even the Regionals. And I don't think they could really use many other tracks to host the final since they aren't really big enough or have the facilities n order to fit all the people/cameras. Can't imagine them moving.
Heavy on the format I hate the way how your day can entirely be decided purely because of your quali and if you have a bad kart during quali then it's ggs. If this was outdoors then I'll allow it since its a lot easier to do recovery drives but indoors is near impossible to make clean enough moves to make positions On top of that I literally don't get why they've now decided to suddenly change the weight categories for the adults Its now going to put some people in a limbo where they're going to be on the extreme end of being im the heavy end in their categories especially Heavyweights and cause more problems than solving anything
@@MXFlamezfor the quali part that isn’t the case, James mcging from my track in middleweight was almost last in quali and made like 10 positions both heats. If you have the skill it’s quite easy, however for someone like this guy who is easily 30-40kg heavy there it is diffferent. But adults not so necessary
@harryeden2958 It's track dependant tbf and how aggressive you can be without getting a penalty In my case everyone was pretty much even on pace and had a couple of national Finalists in it and Brighton is quite a tricky track to overtake without aggressive contact (which tbf you would need to do that a lot anways)
That screwdriver incident was entertaining. Good vid mate
Very funny video 🤣Great editing, the yellow flags screwed me over and the quali mattered so much, and in it my karts boost button was broken💀

How much do you weight?
100kg (Heavyweight)
your boost wasnt working the whole of the semis
Maybe go the class up like middle weight or light weight it could help you if you ever go again

Aren't these sessions done by heavy mid and light weight? Why do you spend the entire session talking about weight lol
Cus im 50 kg down on the rest of the other drivers (juniors) i was losing weight throughtout the championship but they still weigh nothing

Even if I did enter I'd still struggle at over 70kg

Tbf the top 6 drivers every year are pretty fucking good. The quality does slip near the back though 😅
@Ben_Sproat yeah near the back it's horrendous
yep
some of them dont actually qualify and are wildcarded in which is interesting, but its usually bad kart maintenance which makes the back... the back
