super inteligent, always very polite Quentin love your genius, can not stop watching your movies, interviews everything. Sincerly thank you so much cant wait till for the 9th symphony in August.
Tom Snyder was a fantastic interviewer. He knew what questions to ask and listened to the answer. Sounds like an easy thing to do, but if you watch most talk shows, it isn't. His genius was knowing how to maintain a conversation. Bob Costas is the same and it kinda breaks my heart a little when otherwise intelligent people come down on him. Both he and Snyder are excellent.
So sad, his story about being named after Bert Reynolds. He told a story about how he had already cast Bert in Once upon a time in Hollywood, and Q said his son told him he was actually rehearsing his lines, excused himself to the restroom, and that's where he finally passed. Not meant to be 🥺
I like interviews like this, it's just a talk, talk shows like conan and Jimmy Kimmel focus more in the comedy, and sometimes don't have time to listen to the guest
13:48 Can't believe Snyder is AGAIN questioning Tarantino about his job at the pussycat Theater when Tarantino told him that exact same story in details a year before on the same show !
John Travolta owes the entire second half of his great career to Tarantino. In Look Who's Talking he basically reverted to Babarino from the Kotter series, but Quentin still saw more in him, like the versatile performances he gave in the "Boy in the Plastic bubble" and "Saturday Night Fever". Travolta should have renamed all of his children Quentin to show his gratitude.
He dropped out of high school because he was in an unlivable dysfunctional situation and needed to earn money to get out. He ended up going back to college and getting a degree in Communications and being an assistant in the performing and visual arts department of a community college he attended for his associates degree. Then he got hit by a car.- I'll give you an update in another 23 years.
He is an expert and has a special insight, so what (he is even invited for an interview, who would have guessed), it is also not a "lecturing" in the sense of correcting him or talking down to him, just explaining something to him. And whether he was younger or not, that still leaves you an idiot. Otherwise not worth mentioning at all.
Just because your brain is dysfunctional and the questions are not for you anyway doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the questions. And personal questions are always less "exciting" than a good answer. Dumb standard.
QT: "I got the catholic girl uniform, the knee socks, the skirt, the hair clips--" Tom Snyder: "The white panties?" QT: "Not the white panties." TS: "They call you Susie?" QT: "They did not call me Susie. No." TS: "Can I call you Susie?"
18:03 Jesus, guy has the chance to ask genius filmmaker Tarantino a question and he asks him about his estanged father, a topic which Tarantino is famously very reluctant to talk about. Like, WTF dude ??
Maybe he never knew his father and in a state of confusion was curious as to how someone he admired like Tarantino dealt with it. Not a question i would have ever asked but you never know whats going on in someones head. It could be malicious and shitty..... Or it could be sincere and introspective.
Maybe he didnt know that. It was the begginings of his famous career. Lol. I actually didnt know it up until youve said it. So... Dont see nothing wrong.
@@jorisw_ howard stern just wants gossip though. I can do without all that. You dont like Charlie Rose? I seen Rose interrupt too, but Tom Snyder always likes to share his personal stories and I'm like ok Tom back to your guest 🤣
Very smart, clever, knowledgeable and down to earth is Quentin Tarantino in that interview. He really took cinema to another level...
"Hold that thought" ... One year later ... "now what were you saying about Rocky?"
Lol for real... Almost 2yrs later

July
I really enjoyed this conversation.

This guy is a fantastic interviewer.
Loveddd Jackie brown, one of my all time favorite movies. The soundtrack the actors, the plot, the story, purely amazing and underrated AH! 👏👏👏👏
50 years from now it will be recognized that Jackie Brown was Tarantino's best film.
Wow, what a good interview
Agreed
“The pussycat theatre deep throat huh?” I love how casually he drops that😂 13:35
Literally as if he was talking bout the weather.
Haha right!
So sad, his story about being named after Bert Reynolds. He told a story about how he had already cast Bert in Once upon a time in Hollywood, and Q said his son told him he was actually rehearsing his lines, excused himself to the restroom, and that's where he finally passed. Not meant to be 🥺
love this interview after a watch. thank you
POV: you clicked on this video because Quentin has a beard
That’s actually true
Tom Snyder ruled
16:35 this truly sums up why actors really shine in Quentin’s movies.
His passion is contagious
Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it!
Great interview 👌

I liked during Mid Interview Tarantino looks in the Camera and basically told his Deadbeat Biological Father to F' off!
In a polite way of course
Good interview!

He a freak
Pervy old man.
I yelled at him through my screen.
think about how many people the guy had interviewed in between. it would be unbelievable for him to remember every detail from every interview
Oh boy. He really underestimated Titanic here
Everybody underestimated Titanic.
Amazing thank you!
Him talking about boogie nights here so surreal wish he could’ve talked about it more
Plot twist - Keith was Tarantino's dad...
LMAO
Quentin loves that Tom calls them 'pictures' lol
That's what they are, motion pictures...
"Burt Tarantino"
Why doesn’t Tarantino grow his beard
John Travolta owes the entire second half of his great career to Tarantino.

People were shocked he saw other sides to overly familiar actors
Rocky went the distance gotta admire him for that
what a great, pro interviewer.
He should have stayed low key and humbled like that.
Seems to be less caffeinated in this interview
You noticed that too lol
He's high lol
He wasn't in the other one at all, he was super-focused, you seem to have no idea about either things.
Brad Pitt said Tarantino is the only one who needs to cocaine to calm down...Must of done a few rails here
8:51 dude is totally fishing for justification for not finishing highschool lol
I wonder what became of him

@@jaisoncook6038 well, hello there. Im glad you went back to school. Hope your 40s are treating you well
So funny to see Quentin lecturing Tom about a period in film where Tom was an adult and Quentin was still a young kid.
He is an expert and has a special insight, so what (he is even invited for an interview, who would have guessed), it is also not a "lecturing" in the sense of correcting him or talking down to him, just explaining something to him. And whether he was younger or not, that still leaves you an idiot.

he can take any boring question into a really interesting in depth answer

14:36 Quentin talking about PTA😍
Ppl say Rocky is a romantic picture
A GREAT FILMMAKER. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
tnx for sharing pal
Snyder is talking to one of the most knowledgable people on cinema in the world and he interrupts him every time he tries to elaborate.
Wouldn’t go that far but Snyder was no expert on film for sure
-"I know my shit."
The father part was heartbreaking.
How so??? It didn't seem even slightly sad to me.
QT: "I got the catholic girl uniform, the knee socks, the skirt, the hair clips--"
Tom Snyder: "The white panties?"
QT: "Not the white panties."
TS: "They call you Susie?"
QT: "They did not call me Susie. No."
TS: "Can I call you Susie?"
TH? Time please? I can’t get past the stumbling.

15:00 Quintin is 25% Native American?
"Hey Quintin, I'm your dad"😆
8:51 best part 👌
Why do I feel he felt some type of way talking about PTA...14:30...new comp
Correct
He doesn't say ''alll-rite?'' so much anymore
Snyder keeps interrupting. Annoying.
Beyond.
'So did I'... What? Hahahaha
Burt Tarantino doesn’t have the same ring to it 😂. For many Jackie Brown is still his best picture
I really like Quentin, but his whole John Houston story is cringeworthy.
I thought he hated his mother????
What’s up with the cross dressing
I never liked Tom Snyder. He talked too much and interrupted the people he interviewed.
He does it so much better than so many of today's interview shows. Charlie Rose, Howard Stern... , much, much worse.
