I have just watched the above Water Reflection. Two years ago I had a massive stroke which I lost the use of my right side of my body, arms leg etc. I am now getting them back slowly. But I thought it had finished my art. But over the last year I have learnt to paint with my left hand. Watching you being left handed has certainly helped me. Thank you for showing your work, I certainly enjoy it from all aspects. Michael.
Richard, fabulous as always. But one suggestion: When studio painting please show us the reference photo you're using before painting (or during) for longer. When you're outback it's obvious because you shuttle back and forth with the video of the location frequently and lovingly, but in the studio we have no idea what you're aiming for without a reference. Thanks.
Could watch you all day brother. The teacher I wished I had at school. Where art is focus. You’re in the right place at the right time keep up the beautiful work 🌟
Dear hurrying and dancing artist Richard, it’s a pleasure to watch you painting. Marvellous to see you diving into your impression and finally presenting a awesome painting. I love to travel with you! BR, Maria from very frosty Bavarian forest

Fantastic! I love how you use the Belgian linen to create the contrast in the background. That alone must save an enormous amounts of paint compared to trying to achieve that color on white canvas linen or boards. This color I haven't seen yet and I have to tell you, it makes all the difference in the world eliminating killing yourself trying to achieve background. I love your work. Thank you again❤
Your enthusiasm is infectious! I was absolutely drawn into this wonderful composition with its seemingly effortless method of execution - that in reality is a magnificent example of deep love for the subject matter (Nature), and a high knowledge and implementation of a-la-prima excellence. Bravo!
This is one of my top 10 channels on YT. I was born in a family of artists and it’s amazing to find this genuine feelling again. Greetings from Portugal.
Hello Richard. Wow, what an image at first: it looks like gold! Your painting, which represents this incredible cliff, will shine in your gallery, that's for sure. Many thanks for sharing this. 😊
Richard you are a master of this art form,,,,abstraction when in close, reality when zoomed out and then the colour....oh my those colours sing in compliment to each other. Magnificent. Thank you
The colour of the Belgian linen, disguises the demand of the normal white… perfect starting point, as all further colours are complimentary . Brilliant.
I just found you! You are brilliant and I am loving watching you paint. I live in Utah, USA. Thank you for creating this channel. Never saw anyone paint like this. It’s so cool.
👋Hi Richard, what an absolutely wonderful painting in gloriously bright colors, the individual work steps and color mixes explained in detail and additional and breathtaking video footage that should make any heart beat faster. It's always as if you were painting live for your viewers, as if one were right there, it's captivating and energetic. Your paintings reflect exactly that. Thank you, have a great week.💖
G'day mate, wow what a beautifully lit scene. Great watching the natural process of cliff building sped up in the studio in all it's glory. I have said it before and I will say it again, a masterclass in painting cliffs and reflective water. Contrast is imperative. The little knife adding spots of apparent detail lift it to another level. One of my favourite paintings among many favourites Richard. Cheers, Rich
Hi Richard! I think you capture the splendor and essence of the golden evening light so beautifully! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and color mixing, great lecture! Can't wait to see your "Plain air walk about" with my morning coffee!
Great subject Richard, those colours are so rich and vibrant and the water reflection is just beautiful, Australia never fails to amaze. Personally I liked the painting at about 30mins into the video before you started working it up more, but that's not a criticism. Love the painting, one of your best I'd say. Cheers mate.
Oj I miss Australia. I am in Poland Now .I have a lot of pictures from Central Australia and Northern territory but Your stuff is so beautiful I try with your help to put on my canvas in Poland ( in dream memory Australian sun and light with opal colors in my soul ) . Thank You very much.Richard .

Richard, This is fabulous!!! I wish I wasn’t so far away because I would love to see your new gallery and meet you. You are so talented! If you ever happen to be in the USA, you need to come to Texas! You could paint all our Texas Hill Country here. Cows, waterholes, trees… 😊
Looking at the photo you took for the landscape, I can see the cold light in the atmosphere. But looking at your painting at the end, it seemed like the background of a stage setting, everything is under that yellowish light. I guess that is your penchant for warm color.

Hi Richard, I am a big big fan of your style and hopefully one day I will make the trip to Australia to see you in person. However, up to 24.50 mins the painting was awesome, but somehow the result at the end changed. as if its from a totally different video edited into the beginning. I really hope you take my concern kindly. best regards from the UK. 🙏
Hello Richard, thank you for sharing your beautiful art. My question was, how do you stop the paint from cracking over time, given it's put on thick with a palette knife and there's no thin layer of paint underneath? Is it protected with something? Thank you.
Beautiful job! Really live this one. I noticed that your canvas is not very well tightened. does that bother you? I like to work on canvas that is very tight, like a membrane on a drum :)

Exceptionally cool to watch your process on this large canvas/Just wondering if you are Using sand in the treatment pre paint?
Just heavy Belgian linen! Cheers 👍🎨
Fantastic! Your water work is always really good. What is your palette made of?
Thanks Martin! 5mm marine plywood!
Hello Richard, thank you for sharing your beautiful art. My question was, how do you stop the paint from cracking over time, given it's put on thick with a palette knife and there's no thin layer of paint underneath? Is it protected with something? Thank you.
If you paint wet on wet in one session, the paint dries evenly and doesn’t crack. Cheers 🎨🖼️
Beautiful job! Really live this one. I noticed that your canvas is not very well tightened. does that bother you? I like to work on canvas that is very tight, like a membrane on a drum :)
