Baseball: I was a catcher during my college days. It's not where the ball, with even much more movement these days, is caught; it's where it passes home plate. That is why hitters, knowing that umpires behind the plate have a tough job, take on a different pose to protect themselves after 2 strikes against them in the count. Talking heads, some who may never have played baseball in their lifetime, never bother to explain that the little imaginary square they rely on doesn't take that into consideration but instead malign the umpire who is unable to see a ball past "1 millimeter outside that box. That box has now become an umpire's litmus test but not a lousy decision on hitters to take a pitch like that because they were fooled, buying a walk or plain old "choked." Their only way to save face is to show up umpires only to lose favor with them. 😎
Lindor should he'd have a bad day on the first at bat by striking out. Swung at clear balls, weak swing and frustrated.

Lindor actually hits from the right side and today they play snell. I wouldn’t do that against a lefty.

Lindor needs a day or two off. He needs to be platoon to avoid batting left handed. Work things out elsewhere but not in live games. That said, Baty should be batting 3rd or Bader...If you are going to play Lindor he needs to bat 8th. Lindor needs to pull himself out of the lineup if he really loves the mets. Why are we not playing SHORT?
