I don't understand why the girl in the first story ever had anything to do with her sister after she already showed her colors on several occasions - have people really become this unable to keep toxic relatives out of their lives? She's basically asking for the nonsense to continue happening if she doesn't keep the sister out of her life
I hope that teacher had to pay to replace the insulin pump in addition to being disciplined by the school system because that was beyond reprehensible. I have seen a few teachers behave in some outrageously inappropriate and occasionally bordering on criminal behavior in school (and at times actually criminal behavior), and I have been made aware of a couple who were negligent to the point where it became criminal, and I was always completely floored when these things happened because if you don’t actually at least like or care about your students and want to be there or want to actively participate in educating the children in your charge, then you have no business anywhere near a classroom. So many people think that teachers have it easy and get so much time off work, but what they don’t realize it that the time we’re technically “off work” is the when we’re working on things for our classroom, taking classes to improve the education for our students, and taking care of other school obligations that the general public just doesn’t know about. There are days built into the school calendar when the students are not in class, but the teachers have to be there because it’s an “in service day” where they spend the whole day at school working and having meetings with the administrators, participating in educational programs, meeting with fellow teachers & parents, and working in their classrooms. When I was a teacher, I literally took 1 week off a year-the week after we closed the school for the year before I started getting ready for the next school year. I also taught summer school every year. And for the record, teachers aren’t paid for everything & every day that they are required to be at work. Their salaries are paid out over the course of the year, but they are required to work for free for so much of the time that they work that people in the business world would either quit or sue their employers if they were expected to just take shut up and take it. And forget about asking for a raise. Ever. Regardless of how good you are at your job.
I can totally see where Emily is coming from only about the family thing I don't agree about her having to buy her a car or any type of presence and I don't agree with her methods of harassment and screaming every time

Yikes, the "too calm" tone. Go mom and dad. 👍
