Julia, I have watched alot of your videos and the thing that is the most fascinating to me is the way you jump around on the canvas. You don't "finish" one area before moving on. You are just all over, jumping back and forth, left and right, up and down. I keep trying to see if you jump because you are using up all of one color on your brush, so this requires you to move to another area of the canvas. But I just can't follow a pattern in your process! Can you share a little about this?

I absolutely love your style of painting. And your color blocking would be a painting to me 😉 but then you show how the final layers really do make the lines so much clearer and crisp. It’s a great lesson and so fascinating to see how it developed. And that you for a close up of creating the branches! You don’t have to “paint” each little branch when you leave the space for said branch 😍 I just love when I see these negative painting examples and it finally clicks in my brain. Thank you so much for sharing your time and experience with us and we get to see all your lovely paintings ♥️💙

Thank you for sharing your process. My art is very different and I have been fascinated with your ability to visualize colors and lines in your mind as you paint. Your photo had an extreme contrast of black in the foreground, and I would have been lost with it, but you saw all these parts of the image. Artists learn from other artists.

Hi Julia…first time watching…you have a beautiful style, not only with your artwork but your physical self while painting….the ease (hahaha, I’m sure that comes off at this end) with which you paint, the looseness…you caught me, quite frankly with 1. What I just said, your ease, which I’m sure you honed after all these years, 2. The style….i love the big brush strokes but with absolute intention….wish that I could see you do all the finishing work that you speak of!, 3. You didn’t overtake the joy and learning in watching you by talking too much….seriously…😊! Thanks again

Just discovered you this morning. I usually do not like abstract painting but something drew me in to watching you paint. I love your use of colours. Nothing is wishy washy but bright and lively. I also love listening to you narate while you paint. Your explanations are very clear and you inspire me. I have not painted anything in a while but I must start again.

This is by far my favorite, and I just kept cleaning while I was listening to that perky music and I wasn’t really watching, but I would glance here and there as I walked by my iPad so it’s kind of cool to sort of be in the same room with you so just speak while you were creating this beautiful masterpiece. This really is my favorite of all the things I’ve seen you do so far, I think because the trees are like curvy and stuff like the leaves are so swoopy I don’t know. Does that make any sense? 😂

Peanut gallery here... I read this before hearing it. I guess the only problem for me would be that extreme heavy metal rock and roll where they scream instead of singing. 🎤🎸🎼. Otherwise, I am fine with it. 😊

I appreciate your effort in teaching, but two requests. Please eliminate the music, and the incessant irrelevant chit chat. The actual painting is sped up, which is what we want to learn what you do as you do it, so it would be lovely if you could talk while you're working your magic to describe your reasoning and your preferences and why.
Hope you understand, nothing personal. We are just hoping for a change in direction in your comments. Thanks!
