The enchanting live version of “Victim Of Ritual” stems from the bombastic live performance at Woodstock, Poland. Having a capacity for 700,000 people, Woodstock remains one of the most iconic and gigantic festivals today. The powerful vibrations of thousands of fans coming together to celebrate their favourite musical heroes was perfectly captured during this very special Tarja performance. With its flow of range and variance “Victim of Ritual” once again shows why the singer is one of the most renowned Symphonic Metal artists. The song, originally from her worldwide chart success “Colours In The Dark”, gives a powerful taste of the forthcoming live release and can be found exclusively as bonus material on the mediabook of “Act II”.

“Act II”, the follow up to Tarja’s worldwide Top 10 chart success, combines two incredible, yet slightly different live performances on video:
The first chapter, “Metropolis Alive”, has been filmed two months prior to the release of Tarja’s 2016 success “The Shadow Self” in an intimate surrounding at renowned Metropolis Studios in London, UK. “Act II’s” second chapter has been recorded on November 29th, 2016 at the magnificent Teatro della Luna in Milan, Italy and includes numerous hits from all four Tarja albums.
Even though the shows deliberately differ in look, sound, approach to the music and adrenalin, both have one thing in common: from the very first to the very last tune, the state of the art production displays Tarja’s energetic performance and her graceful, charming presence.
“Act II” is going to be released on July 27th, 2018 on earMUSIC as 2CD digipak, 3LP Gatefold (180g, black), 2DVD, Blu-ray, Limited Mediabook 2CD+2BD (incl. two full live shows filmed at Woodstock Festival in Poland and Hellfest in France as bonus) and Digital.

Always impressive when that happens. A lot more people can sound good when they can do 7 takes in the studio. Doing it live in one take is when you see the true talent.

The pandemonium part is legendary. Amazing deep and dak voice she has! She is so much more solo than she ever was with that band. Long live the Siren!

She will always be the best for me. Her voice basically determined what music I would listen to for the rest of my life. I also really like her personality, she is so charismatic. She never ceases to amaze me.
In my opinion, this is one of her best concerts ever.
Woodstock knows how to support Tarja. Also summerbreeze don’t forget them either. If I was there I’ll go crazy any freaking concerts. I don’t know why crowds in a metal band are dying down and not becoming as aggressive as they used to be.

Still remember the day -in 2004- when I listened to my FIRST METAL SONG, The Kinslayer(live) from Nightwish. That day and this woman changed my life forever, I'm a metalhead and proud of it in every second of my life. Doesn't matter in which band she sings, she is always one of the best vocals on this world. Carry on Tarja.

She's one of, maybe the best Soprano Metal Vocalist we've ever heard, and, moreover, she is a very beautiful person. Some people don't like her classical voice on Metal Music, everyone to his own tastes. What I love, in addition to her beautiful person, is that she made the choice to explore Metal with the incredibly brilliant voice of the Nightwish bassist, and to create something different, something that 99.9% musicians of the planet (including France) is unable do. Remember, we are actually living in the era of "copy and paste". I say it loud and clear": Tarja! Keep on going ! and climb as high as possible, you can do it, keep playing your difference, with or without Nightwish! ". Sorry for the 116 who dislike, I don't like her, I adore her (French verb which means more than love).

She did herself a favour too in wanting to leave Nightwish after doing one last album, but it became, 'You can't leave, we fire you now!" Now free to do what she wants and how she wants in her music.
@@Aurinkohirvi If there was no time, Nightwish men should have the dignity to say it to her face, to tell her things ain't working out and go their separate way amicably. Instead, they threw her under the bus publicly to the point she became aware of it by the press not by her band members.
@@caiolucas8257 Agreed. The letter was a rotten thing to do, and that's why Tuomas did it. It was clearly a revenge.
Nafisah, Tarja tried to get Nightwish change things in the world tour. Why would she try to change things, if she didn't care, if she didn't want to stay? She told in her press confrence how Nightwish did about 5 gigs in a week all the time on their tours, and her voice couldn't handle it. She saw her health and voice failing during the tours and tried to get them cut the amount of gigs, but the band wanted to keep all the gigs. That's what divided them into two camps. So she said she will leave after the next album's world tour, but she would tour at tops two weeks at a time: this is found in the open letter too, and the band didn't like that. If Tarja didn't care about the band, why did she fight about the issue? Why not just leave? I'm thinking that's why they fired her before the next album, because they didn't want such world tour.
Aurinkohirvi - I read the letter made public too. But Nightwish is Nightwish. They replaced Sami for Marco for reason still murky, but perhaps Tuomas want a harder edge to his music. After going through some 2,000 persons to replaced Tarja it was said, the realize Annete may not be suitable in live shows and got sick when they are supposed to have concerts. And Jukka is supposedly not playing drums anymore because it was said he has insomnia. And years already now. Only they know what really happened and why. I am happy Annete and Tarja pursued their own path post Nightwish, but will always be irritated when fans blamed Annete and Tarja for almost "destroying" Nightwish, or is not "right" for Nightwish. These two ladies will forever be associated with Nightwish's defining and best albums over the last two decades.
