- Hello, this is a tutorial on how to setup the Line6 Helix Hx Effects with the Boss Rc505 Mk2/Mk1 Loopstation.

Edit: I have now moved from the hx effects to and actual line six Helix and this is still helpful with basic setup when it comes to global setting

Vielleicht musst du deine Helix leiser machen und dafür deine Kopfhörer lauter.
Du musst dein Threshhold auf der Loopstation hochstellen.
Es könnte an deinen Kabeln liegen.

Completely understood, but how do you USE the hx effects? bc on youtube its all like guitar effects tutorials but people like kba and stuff have presets with melodies... And I cant really do that by myself 😅 thanks!

May I ask if connecting microphone to Helix FX is the only way to do beatbox looping with RC505 MKII? And I have USB cable that I try to figure out what to do with it? Cheers, JC from OZ
If I want to use also the lounchpad I just need to use a 5 pin midi cable that go in output of lounchpad and input of mk2?

Very useful tutorial!!! But why the midi channel is 1 on helix and rc505 is 16?
If you have both devices on the same midi channel, the rc505 will controll the helix and will also change the presets on the helix when you change them on rc505. This is annoying, so you should set them on different midi channels, no mather if 1 and16 or 7 and 10 for example
Do you by any chance give lessons (paid) on how to use the RC505? Over web camera like zoom or Skype or FaceTime. I just recently got into all this and could really use some lessons and am willing to pay.
would this be the same an a helix lt or only the hx effects?
For the LT it is nearly the same I think. The only thing is that you will need the microphone cable that I linked in the description, because the LT does not have an xlr microphone input, so here is a tutorial for the Helix Floor: ruclips.net/video/OBspsKZIrPU/видео.html

Great tutorial. What does midi rx channel do exactly?
When the Loopstation and the Helix are on the same midi channel, you can controll the Helix with your Loopstation. But it is annoying because it will change Presets on the helix if you change it on the loopstation.

Nice video ! I have a problem, when I select my memory on my MKII it change my preset selection, for example if I go to the memory 5, it will select preset 5, if I go to M50 it will select P50 etc. if you get what I mean, do you know how to fix this ? not a big problem but kinda annoying, Thank's you !
Thank you! Do what I say in the video at 2:25 and 3:35 (set the midi channels)
@@Antrix.Official yeah, but if I do change the CTL channel, I cannot control my HX with my MKII x) I do a lot of assignments and I custom a lot my MKII so I can create like a launchpad to control my HX, that the main problem basically
@@XbatSFM I think it's not possible to avoid this problem with this setup. Maybe with other midi gear.
