Trivia: Tom: Dark side of the moon. Damian: 80pts, 2 might and only 2 shots(like Haldir)? If Darts and shooting are sports then why can't war-gaming be a sport. You have to have some skill, and there is an talent to rolling dice, evident by O'Byrne's 3 highest from NINE dice haha (just go home with what little pride you still have, wait you are home, just turn around and face the corner lmao) My favorite character was Gwaihir, especially that scene in the landrover! Seriously though, Dain was a laugh. Much better in the movie than the book, Billy Connolly made the character funny and very like-able, and come on he looks bad-ass on that war pig. Also Tauriel's tune isn't as good as Sons of Durin, thats the best Hobbit track imo. The ending to this vid was priceless btw, I laughed so hard I woke my mother up. She was not impressed!
Tom: Titan, moon of saturn Damian: Not a clue. Was he roughly equivalent to Forlong the fat, mounted on Gamling, mounted on Boromir (both with banners), mounted on Gwaihir, mounted on a landrover? 1337 points.
Great video as always guys! :) Legolas was 80 points, didn't have his auto-hit and had one less might (I think) Those mountain names are so cool. I'd go so far as to say they are......... out of this world! Quite literally (they're on Titan, one of Saturn's moons)
It's strange you mentioning Tauriel as an addition as I never even thought about that. For me, although she isn't in the book, it was natural for her to be there and she did add to the film (and its story line).
The answer for my favourite Hobbit character, is easily Thorin. I'm sure I've been through this before, but I have a fondness for dwarves, and one of the things I like about the Hobbit is how dwarf focused it is compared to Lord of the Rings. I really enjoyed how Richard Armitage played him, and having used him at half the tournaments I've been to, it's all combined into a love of the character. Worryingly I even tend to find myself taking his side at points where you're probably supposed to be judging him. On the subject of the whole 'sport' thing, I'd like to point out that they for some reason show Texas Hold 'em on sky sports, so if poker can be counted as a sport SBG can. Though if I had any say in it they'd all be classed as games along with snooker and darts. I agree with Tom too, synchronised swimming isn't a sport. Neither are all of the gymnastics done to music. They aren't in anyway less worthy than sports, they just aren't sports. For trivia I know Legolas only had the three shots and not the autosh*t part, and I think that's the only difference. I don't remember whether his points were different so I'll guess t'was eighty. Maybe the bumped him and Gimli up ten when they added the extra special rules. As for Tom's, I don't remember hearing of mountains with thouse names, so I'll guess that it's Mars, as that's topical. Also it wouldn't suprise me if there were some Tolkien fan astronomers out there naming mountains after Middle Earth references.
favourite character from all the films in middle earth is Gandalf, quite easily one of the best characters in any work of fiction. But, just in the Hobbit excluding big G himself... Bofur, especially in the extended editions. James Nesbit is awesome! This brings me on to a question you covered with Thorin's company... regarding favourite sculpts/model poses. Can we have a fellowship edition of this?
never played bridge, but did go through a phase with my folks and sister where we played quite a bit of whist (it's ancestor - which is a corking game!).
Loving the Palantir guys ! No idea what Tom was trying to imply with his grunting when stroking Tifa ? Some sort of mating call/ 'joyful acknowledgement' ? Favourite Character: Bard, loved the character develoopment in the film ! Damain: 65 points, loses his expert shot special rule ? Has some other fancy rule which enables you to auto-wound once per turn (Prince's sneaky shot) ? Tom: Titan (Saturn's Moon ??) ?? Can the galadriel, Protectress of Lothlorian LOTR model use the Hobbit BOFA profile ? Or do you need to have the BOFA model for that ? Cheers !
Damians question : legolas was 65 points I think. wargear options were just an elven cloak (for the same cost as fellowship Pippin) . he didnt have auto hit special rule. he only had 2 fate.
Hi guys! Love the Palanthir. Keep up the good work. My obvious choise must be Beorn and second Radagast. In the book Beorn is grim. I hope I will se more Beorn in the extended version of the film. Love the movieversion of Radagast . He is powerful and doing good things, but is of course led asstray from his real mission. Perfect.
Dunlending, doe's that ever get old? Dont answer, because it doesn't. i think you should ensure that people don't think the opinions stated in the Palantir represent the views of the North Yourkshire Moors railway. And yes, the ending of Jurrasic World is pants. GW did at least make Stone Giants for their BOTFA game, so I guess that is what the models would have looked like. I dont think any new profile will ever beat Boromir on Gamling. Although I did have a few ideas for Alfrid on Bombur, partly for the cheese factor and partly because it was my favorite scene from the book and I can't believe they cut it from the film. Wose joke, Morcombe and Wise joke... Damian is on fire this week. Trivia: Tom: A good rocky question this week. They're on Titan, one of saturns moons, because people who name stuff in space are awesome. Damian: no idea, he was maybe 85 points because he might not have been given his one-shot ability. The Unexpected Segway will be a tale about Leggy and Tauriel going off to find the young ranger in the north, along the way adventure occurs. It'll be utterly rubbish. Best character from the Hobbit, agree with Tom, Ken Scott's Balin is great. Balin on a Shield would be awesome. if it happens, I am making the model. ( One for Damian, Alrik Ranulfson was is one of my favorite WFB characters, I was gutted when they dropped him for Thorgrim on the ridiculous solid gold throne.) Best Balin Model, Balin in Barrel. I like Tauriel, she was good fun and added a hell of a lot more than Alfrid or the extra Leggy did. Thranduil in DOS especially was a great character, and came very close to being a favorite until he becomes a mopey duffus in the lest half hour of TBOTFA.
Can't remember the trivia questions as it was about 4 days ago since I watch it and not yet gotten round to re-watch the episode for the statistics yet (make sure to carry on those catch phrases if you want a high tally)So I'll go for the guessing randomly game instead. Damion- "Smaug I Lose!! ;)"Tom- play the fool and no one will ask you to do anything- no one would ask Pippin to take the ring to mordor :)
Hey Guys. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Tom's Trivia - Under the sea? Damians Trivia - 80 points? I think he didn't have his auto hit rule, he couldn't take armor and he had one less fate? P.S - Really good meeting you both at the weekend. Hope you had a good tournament.
Favourite character? Not close - Smaug. Why? Smaug. And I agree, I really like Tauriel herself, just the love story with Kili was so unnecessary yet so forced. Trivia: Tom's: Of course it's Titan, very cool moon, and the mountains make it even cooler! Damian's: I know he couldn't auto-hit, cost point: 80 I believe? By the way, I asked my british friend to send me a Freddo because we don't have them here in Poland, quite a desolation I know...
Ok so lets begin. First off, is SBG a sport? Short answer no, long answer (insert naughty/swear word) no! Moving on, my favourite character from The Hobbit films, and the 6 Middle-Earth films overall, is surprise surprise Thorin Oakenshield, son of Thrain, son of Thror, the King under the Mountain and Durin's Heir. DU BEKAR!!! After Thorin, my next favourite character from The Hobbit films has to be Smaug. I AM FIRE! I AM DEATH! Tom's trivia: I'm going with the Andes mountains in South America. Damian 'The Dragon Slayer's' trivia: Legolas was 90 points, didn't have the auto-hit, but still had the 3 shots per turn and he had 2 Fate instead of 3. On the topic of JP3 vs JP2, I personally like JP3 more than JP2. Basically because I really like the Spinosaurus, I think it's a really cool dinosaur. Also I assume Damian knows that there will be a Jurassic World sequel in 2018? Lastly I also really like Tauriel, better than Legolas or Thranduil. Legolas is actually very far down the list if I were to rank my favourite characters. After Frodo he's my least favourite member of the Fellowship. He's cool and all but he'd still be very low down for me in the rankings.
I have never heard any Jurassic Park fan say that the Lost World was worse than the 3rd movie. Please enlighten me. I find it very difficult to justify JP3 over JP2. Damien, could you please give me a well written miniature essay explaining why you think JP3 is better than JP2.
Hope this gotten in on time.Whilst talking to the great Jay Clare we where discussing how on paper profiles might seem really good and therogising an amazing synagey, but somtimes it doesn't transfere in the actual game. Maybe you could talk about this?
I didn't mind the additional of Tauriel, but despised the Kili love interest. It would have been better if she was betroved to Legolas, but was killed in the Battle of Five Armies which is the reason he doesn't return to Mirkwood because it reminded him of her. Also would have preferred if Legolas was a cameo, than as a major character. I personally like Dwalin as far as a movie interpretation.
I'm a bit behind and trying to catch up watching three palantirs back to back Tauriel is awesome! She adds a much needed female presence, and kicks some serious butt in Desolation of Smaug. The romance stuff is a bit cringy though (and as Damian somewhat hints, she is somewhat fit). Balin is cool too, my favourite character in the Hobbit is probably Bard though, he's just the Aragorn of the Hobbit, what a total badass, with the awesomely large bow and the badass longcoat. His profile in the game is a bit lacking to me, my main gripe though is that the Girion's Heir profile can't take a bow! Tom - are they the names for your testes? Damian - Leggy definitely didn't have the autohit, he may have been only 2 fate, and he couldn't ride a horse or wear armour, but perhaps he was still 90pts?

Also that female dwarf merchant from the prologue was cute aha. Trivia: Tom: ah hah I remember doing a project on this in year 5, they're on Saturn's biggest moon:Titan Damian: I seriously have no idea I'm going to guess he was 45 points since I remember you saying Galadriel was 100. Changes uhh he had a special rule that he could declare at the start of the shoot phase if in base contact with the top of stairs that he slid down them and is able to fire 3 times while doing so all of which auto hit. also if an enemy model is at the bottom of the stairs they take a strength 5 hit to represent the shield being imbedded in them . Also cool seeing you guys at stockport and congrats on killing Smaug Damian, it looked like you'd theorized it a lot lol

Damian, don't worry about knocking your head on your tea. You're only one in 25,000,000 people to have suffered tea/coffee injuries, apparently. No, it's because the Stone giant would be very cool - I've wanted one since they were in the WotR rule book.
+Leonardis EGWG They did get to be in the Epic Scale Battle of Five Armies which GW produced for a short while.

Ps the best jurassic park film is the 13th warrior. well it's based on the book eaters of the dead and they have them pretending to be a dragon

Toms question is 'rock' hard. I can't answer it ;-)
Tom Is on the moon. Don't remember which moon though. Damien he was 85 points. Not sure what was changed thinking war gear.
Underwater basket weaving should be in the Olympics.
Damian, don't worry about knocking your head on your tea. You're only one in 25,000,000 people to have suffered tea/coffee injuries, apparently. Ranging from burning your mouth to poking yourself in the eye to ending up stuck in wet concrete. Also, if you're a fan of Custard Creams be careful, they have a danger rating of 5.64 out of no idea.
Tom: Titan?
Damian: 75 points and was actually Forlong the Fat on horse in disguise. No auto-hit but got an Elven cloak, XL, for free.
