Amber have dealt with so much crap like for getting turned down for American Idol and for the role of Effie White in the 2006 film adaptation of Dreamgirls. From all that, she went all girlboss slaying in Glee with privileges of performing as a guest STAR in renowned shows, pursuing a career in Broadway in Hair and as Effie White in Dreamgirls, expanding her filmography and singing career, and receiving prestigious accolades to her name. It could have been bigger; I know she deserved better with all she can do with her talent, but I think it all still somehow paid off after all these years. Heck before I even watched Glee, I already knew her from watching greatest female vocals compilation videos, where she gets categorized along with other topnotch vocalists such as Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, and many other established artists for their skill and vocal prowess. That kind of impact is something she earned with her talent.

It's not the judges fault. It's the fickle American public that votes them in or out. Letting America vote is the worst thing possible to allow if you want a show actually based on talent. That is why The Sing Off was so much better. The JUDGES whittled them down to two based on their talent and ability and THEN let the public vote. And yes, you are correct. The good ones that got eliminated are the ones that did the best outside of the show (Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson the exceptions).

This show was my life from age 15-19. Glee was sooo big everywhere. I have fond memories of being a teen obsessed with it but also great sadness with what came of several cast members.

I love how Amber Riley just belted Simon with that beautiful powerhouse. Can't believe the American Idol producers turned her down in it's second season.
Amber have dealt with so much crap like for getting turned down for American Idol and for the role of Effie White in the 2006 film adaptation of Dreamgirls. From all that, she went all girlboss slaying in Glee with privileges of performing as a guest STAR in renowned shows, pursuing a career in Broadway in Hair and as Effie White in Dreamgirls, expanding her filmography and singing career, and receiving prestigious accolades to her name. It could have been bigger; I know she deserved better with all she can do with her talent, but I think it all still somehow paid off after all these years. Heck before I even watched Glee, I already knew her from watching greatest female vocals compilation videos, where she gets categorized along with other topnotch vocalists such as Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, and many other established artists for their skill and vocal prowess. That kind of impact is something she earned with her talent.
A lot of you missed that Brittany (Heather) Mike (Harry Shum) Solo at 3:46 “Stranger waiting” omg I’m glad they gave them an actual singing solo. They can actually sing. ❤️ I’m sitting here crying for the people we have lost from the glee.

It's not the judges fault. It's the fickle American public that votes them in or out. Letting America vote is the worst thing possible to allow if you want a show actually based on talent. That is why The Sing Off was so much better. The JUDGES whittled them down to two based on their talent and ability and THEN let the public vote. And yes, you are correct. The good ones that got eliminated are the ones that did the best outside of the show (Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson the exceptions).
