      Yep, he is not trained opera singer. If I am correct he is self taught, which is even more awesome that he could reach this level by himself. He is also a pilot, swordsman and has degree in history. And yes, this guy beat throat cancer and he is still going strong. Hand down, the legend.

    • @astragalusson
      @astragalusson 4 года назад +3

      @@Feercholain The honor is mine, my friend. I agree about the anthemic side. Most of their long epics are musicly metal symphonies to me which I believe are at the highest artistic level (among some genius classical composers' work) in music history. Beautiful melodies, beautiful transitions, beautiful instrumentalizations all coming together in perfect harmony to form a beautiful track. I especially love their melodic riffs (usually other than the main riff) which they generally use as bridges to solos. That doesn't mean I don't like any of their shorter banger songs (I might be a little pickier than most other fans, but still) but their long epics are the #1 reason they're my favorite band.

    • @Feercholain
      @Feercholain 4 года назад +2

      @@astragalusson I think you are 100% correct My friend, Best words to describe this kind of songs. The arrangements that this guys use are out of this world. I agree in every term, i don't think that any other band can come up with something as epic as what we can hear in their discography, Blood brothers is my ultimate favorite song by them, it hits me very deep everytime i listen to it, the melody and all the amazing orchestral vibe makes me wanna cry. No other band did that to me, and i love it. Other favorites of mine are Paschendale, infinite dreams, When the wild wind blows, No more lies, Sign of the Cross, The clansman. So many epics!!

    I'm that same guy that bugged you to react to Iron Maiden "Hallowed Be Thy Name" (live) 1982 Beast Over Hammersmith I still would really love for you to see it. It is old school and Bruce sounds so good. It is an epic tune to say the least but that performance is way back in 1982 and they just kill it. You must put it on the list for us please. As far as a new suggestion and an insane crowd being controlled by the band please do Megadeth "Symphony Of Destruction" (That One Night LIVE IN Buenos Aires, Argentina 2005).Also from the same concert you really need to hear "A Tout Le Monde" I can't believe there haven't been many requests for Megadeth. "Holy Wars..The Punishment Due" being one of their masterpieces at least but as far as a live concert reaction you must do "Symphony Of Destruction"! Please add Megadeth to your list for us!

    Please do THE HU next, the song "Yuve Yuve Yu" is excellent and also the song "Wolf Totem".
    Other bands I'd recommend are: Rammstein (around since mid-1990's), MOTORHEAD (around since mid 1970's), and Combichrist (around since early 2000's) ...

    If you want to react to more Iron Maiden, may I suggest one of the following songs?
    The Number of the Beast
    Hallowed Be Thy Name
    2 Minutes to Midnight
    The Trooper
    Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
    Brave New World
    Paschendale
    They have a ton of other great songs too, so you really can't go wrong (unless maybe you went with something from the Blaze Bayley days).

    I was blessed to see them perform live once. This song is beyond words when you experience it Live. The energy, washing thru you. And when it picks up and changes tempo, the lead singer is constantly on the move. he must have sprinted 20 miles during that concert. He had so much energy, I do not know how many pots of coffee he drank before performing. A 3 hours show, felt like 40 minutes. It was amazing. Words do not do them justice. Formed in 1975, and still performing. They are a MUST experience band.

    It's ok, we're not worried about how long it took you to appreciate this form of music, we're just happy you're here, now. There are many times I wasn't ready for something musically in life as well, and as far as your appreciation of things such as Mo-town, or the Beatles, there are a lot of us the enjoy other styles as well. Given the nature of the requests I see, I'm certain most of your subscriber fan base are mature individuals with a multitude of sonic interests. Just keep rockin', we'll keep watchin'.

    I love that you ladies are doing this. My mom took me to Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Metallica and Dio concerts when I wasn't old enough to get to LA to see them on my own. She really didn't care for the music too much, but loved me enough to put up with it because I loved it. It also showed her that these bands weren't evil or demonic like Tipper Gore wanted everyone to believe back in the 80's. Thank you.

    The mighty Iron Maiden brought me here, but you two had me riveted. You’re funny, open-minded to new things, and you’re NICE. The world needs as much of that as can be produced. Liked and most definitely Subscribed!
    As a bonus comment, note how Bruce Dickinson runs around the stage from top to bottom singing his ass off and never, ever being short of breath. Every word comes out clearly and with the utmost control. He often sings while running and never misses a beat. I love the guy. And singing in the worlds greatest heavy-metal band is just the tip of the iceberg of the things he’s accomplished in life. For my money, the most interesting individual in all of heavy metal.

    Iron Maiden was the first metal band I really got into 32 years ago and have been a big fan ever since. I've seen them a few times live as well and they don't disappoint. And if it's any consolation, over the years my musical tastes have broadened and I grew to like and admire other musicians you've mentioned. Keep Rocking Two Grannies!
