To work outside of the music industry, and to forgo the 'hook' and 4/ 4 structure. To cause chaos and thrive in it... artists such as @renmakesmusic wouldn't exist without the 'Sex Pistols'. Then... Sid murdered the love of his life, Nancy Spungeon, in a drug-induced psychosis... and this begs the question: how far is too far? They lived a completely co-dependent life and he ultimately died of an overdose. Does love have to be that destructive? So... our culture doesn't stand outside of ourselves.... it is the story of our lives and Sid and Nancy are intricately a part of our intimate and cultural story... and even they are our... Power!

I don't know though he's talked about addiction and abusing drugs previously, I'm almost positive I've heard him mention opiates so I believe he was probably on pain medication and abusing it because of all of his issues but obviously I can't say for certain I just feel like I read that somewhere

After the Pistols broke up, they went to a hotel in the N.Y. Sid woke up one day and Nancy was stabbed to death in the bathroom. He said he did it but also that he didn’t remember doing it. There are conspiracy theories that drug dealers actually did it, but it was most likely him. He died a few months later from a drug overdose.

Love this song! Really enjoy your reactions, I subbed a while ago and keep coming back. Notice how the image is flipped so the driver (who is Sam, his videographer) is on the left side. Smart, to get a bigger audience comfortable with the music, as most of the world drives on the right side of the road. Good spot, I just thought the car was left hand drive! Hard to tell with the narrow streets, but now look closer I can see that Ren is on the kerb side. So the camera is flipped when it's the inside view, but normal when looking out in the journey through the streets at the end. Shows that the even if the budget is small, attention to the smallest details can make a difference.
The main video is shot in Brighton. The streets facing forward are Bristol I believe. The driver is Samuel Perry-Falvey. He’s the videographer for the one-take videos and some others too. I don’t think the video was purposely flipped for an american audience. Most of Rens videos done on his phone are flipped if you watch them on insta. This is a very British sounding track. I often wonder if the american reactors get it. I liked when you pulled up the song words. Feel free to ask in the comments as if you don’t understand something, I’m sure others won’t either.
