Love you guys! And thank you for the amazing Tunes! Can’t wait to visit and hopefully see y’all live on the street playing🙏🏼😆
There was a saying back in the day that "you can't fake The Funk". I'm as white as the belly of a blind cave fish but I can feel this in my soul. It is very clear that my man Ren can feel it too. Loved the reaction guys.
Road To Zion was by Damian Marley and Hip Hop was by Dead Prez "John Wick on guitar"! 😂 😂 "Dababdabab" was what's called a skat vocal. It's a jazz thing. FYI, Ren says he'll reverse any copyright strikes on his tunes.
@@angelaprzybylski1425 The Big Push are independent artists, although unfortunately currently on a Hiatus. I doubt any member of the band will enforce a copyright strike
But the problem with that is that some fake account is copyright claiming all of Ren's videos/music. Some other RUclips reactors have talked about it because their channels almost got taken down even though they don't own the copyright rights. It's crazy!

You're wondering how Ren can sound like he's got an authentic Jamaican patois? A lot of London and South East dialect and slang has elements of Carribbean and African speech influences. Plus, Bob himself spent quite a few years at the height of his career in London, leaving his mark on UK music. And yeah, Ren... Can do anything pretty much.
Right there's a massive population of people of Jamaican and Caribbean descent in the UK so if it's something you're around all the time I feel like you could pick it up pretty easily like someone from London moving to New York within a few months they could probably disguise their voice as American pretty well
Since the 50’s the UK had an influx of Jamaican immigrants and in the 70’s a huge reggae movement started which greatly influenced British culture in general and also the music culture. A Jamaican patois was adopted by white British youths throughout the 70’s and 80’s which is along with other aspects of Jamaican identity it’s now fabric of UK culture as a whole. REN’s speaking voice has elements of that patois which makes it easier for him to sing with certain inflections - it also helps that he feels the music in his soul, as you can tell. He’s saying “with a little bit of luck we can make it through the night” - it’s a UK garage dub from the 90’s.
It's insane how good he is just busking. This wouldn't be out of place on a big stage at a festival, and all those people are just getting a full concert for free in the street while they do their shopping!
Haha, I think you guys now need to react to Hip-Hop by the Dead Prez so you can see what he was singing, not free styling. I think you’d love the original.
The most unique talent for some time. Rare. Troubled, talented poet, producer, rapper, producer, visionary and makes me believe in people. Hope he is well in Canada.
I can’t speak for Ren but in Britain we weee raised on reggae music as much as any other . You can hear it in Hi Ren when he really sings at the end ✌️
Ren supports the reactors and lets you keep the revenue from his music. I saw several people say that on other channels, and he also has replied to other reactors and said that if there's a copywrite strike just contest it and it will be removed. He understands how important the reactors are to introduce more people to his music.
Trenchtown Rock, a classic Bob Marley tune, might be where that 'One Good Thing About Music...' line originated. That fact that Dead Prez lifted it for their song and Ren wove it back into both Bob and Damian Marley songs, is well... so very Ren.
Y'all should check out Ren/Sam Tompkins and the performance of Earned it/a Man's World/Falling, you'll be amazed at Sam's voice,he is amazing and Ren does his thing too, Great performance 💯🔥
Ren has lotsa influence from the the singer, Sting, and the 80’s band, The Police. Combine that with Roots Reggae and rap…the guy is talented/gifted w/music. Took me on a journey.
Guys, I have watched so many of your Ren reactions and I just love your energy - you're loving life and you put a smile on my face every time. And I agree with you, there is absolutely NOTHING that Ren can't do. Keep smiling, keep laughing and I will be right here watching and smiling back at you
So good! Ren is of course, spectacular, and the band is *loaded* with talent. That's called scat singing he's doing in The Road to Zion, type of beat-based syllable singing that originated in jazz. Can you imagine driving downtown and hearing this wafting around the corner from where you parked? I'd go full MacBeth, but we don't have artists this great busking on the street where I live. I wish! Love seeing you guys get so pumped by this! Edited to add: "I wasn't expecting that!" -- the universal response to listening to anything by Ren
Ren is ridiculously talented! But I associate weird faces more with playing the guitar really well than singing. If you want to see someone looking absolutely gorgeous while hitting insane notes, check out 'Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean' by Finnish band Nightwish, live in Buenos Aires, with Floor Jansen (a fellow Dutchie) singing. Although a better Nightwish song for anyone to start with might be the Wacken 2013 version of 'Ghost Love Score'. I am curious about what you guys think of that song!
It's Brighton, south coast of the UK. Ren's imn Canada getting treatment trying to get well enough to get back to back to what he's fire at, creating. Entertaining and dropping jaws on the floor lol G'day @ItsMrMills, hope your both going ok. Love 'The Big Push', hope when Ren tours one day, they are with him.
An "ugly" singer is just someone who is truly emoting through their vocals. When you FEEL it, nothing else matters, including how you look as you feel it.

Another lively fun reaction. Blind eyed next because you need to hear Sam Tompkins voice too. Ren is so good a showcasing other people’s talent. Angry car park attendant version is my favourite. But maybe you could do the original and then that one back to back. Same song but performed very differently. The big push had three front men. They can all sing. There is a live version of sweet little lady, that I really love.🐇🕳️🖤
I've so been looking forward to you two reacting to this one and you did not disappoint. Ren had commented on many channels and said not to worry about copyright claims with him, he just wants to get the music out. If you get a strike, appeal it and he'll/they approve. I didn't understand how it works as a creater, just passing on the message. Thanks and keep it up.
You know, as a white guy from England I can say that Bob Marley is without a doubt, one of the most influential artists to ever walk the planet.
