    It seems to be an exercise in skeletonization rather than true knife design principles like stability under use without flexing. But as a super light weight conceal carry I guess it would work. Thanks for the vid!

      Hello!
      Thank you very much for the comments. The Topaza was designed that way because for regular EDC tasks, it will perform perfectly well. Of course if you go ahead and bend the frame it will flex a little. That is the nature of titanium and why it is strong (won't break) unlike some other materials which maybe rigid but can easily fracture (like carbon fiber).

    Part of the allure for me on their first knife was that it was made in Thailand/US and not a Chinese OEM. So it was a bit disappointing to hear it was made in China. Doesn't make it a bad knife, but when you handle a bunch of knives like we do you find out that all Bestechs feel the same, all Reates feel the same, etc. So it was nice to see something new with their first model

      The Topaza was meant to be our glide class model, a more affordable and more readily available than the Atlas (a fly class model). We are still working hard on the next batch of Atlas with a lot of sweet upgrades and those are still made in Thailand but all in all, we have 2 lines for two different types of customers.

      Civivi/We/QSP has great materials and quality control. For the money, they’re hard to beat.

    That is pretty cool, I always appreciate the difficulty in creating lightweight designs.
    For me the Narrows seems like the best of the daily usable lightweight knives that doesn’t seem fragile or flimsy and it’s a bit of a comparative chunker at 0.699 ounce/inch versus 0.509 ounce/inch (using your 3.18” blade measurement). The Narrows is 2.41 ounces, 3.43” blade.
    I put the Narrows next to the Delica and its a lot more substantial of a knife, especially for edge length which is near ~3/4” longer.
    Does your Interface feel like a solid knife capable of daily use or is it more of a niche/specialized knife?

      @@ElCapAddict the Interface are incredibly stable. There is very little flex or wiggle out of them. I carried one of them for a week out off-roading in Moab Utah when I first got it and zero issues or complaints.
      NOW the Interface is a true custom and over $1200 where the Topaza is a production at under $300 so not an apples to apples comparison but….
      And the Narrows, great idea but ridiculous price.

      Our Thai production is busy making the new version of the Atlas! But since each lot is taking so long (and we are already at full capacity), we wanted to make our design more available through production knives with this glide class series of knives.

      @@9rit​​⁠I totally understand… I can appreciate all those things, I just thought the original atlas was more appealing because of the limited availablity and the hand ground blade… there is always a line between making it available widely / and exclusivity- collectibility .. I just lean towards the later crowd, which obviously does make as much business sense.. but does for collectors.. 🤷‍♂️
