- This video is a follow up to yesterday's video, where I compared the Quansheng UV-R50 to the Baofeng UV-5R.
In this updated video, I run a power test using an analogue meter and also do a comparison with two Baofeng UV-5R radios with the Quansheng, using the exact same 'rubber duck' antenna.
Results are very interesting.

Thanks Mike, very clear advice and a good comparison. Daft question, but I just wanted to be clear, the Retevis model antenna you used looks like you can get as an SMA-M or F. This is a female connection that you used, is that correct? Just didnt want to get the wrong one!

Hi Nik,
I had to double check myself as I’ve two Nagoya NA771 antennas, a male and female version. The one for the Quansheng/Baofeng uses a female connection like you said.
