    Hey newEnglandpatriot I´m a huge Chicago fan, I think they're one of the greatest Bands Ever but... I agree, they're a third age band, the best they can do is what's shown here, I mean STUDIO RECORDING, like this, It's really great!! Two years ago, in a friend's junction we commented how we'd like Chicago to make covers of some good songs like this, but in the CTA style. Now they're doing it!
    They read our minds!!
    PS: Have you heard "Brass Transit" band?, they're here in youtube.

    This song is alright.. saw them last night in Portland OR. . E,W&, F totally smoked Chicago in their cover of Wishing You Were Here both the live and recorded versions. One of the sexiest songs I've heard live in a long, long, long time. Concert was fun though. Yes I must agree with the Peter Cetera comments. He was not my favorite but his vocals were definitely missed by me.

Happy man, Anyway you want

      If you just only discovered that now, then you don't know Chicago. I suggest you go back into their catalogue and check out "Chicago Transit Authority" (CHI 1), Chicago II, Chicago VII, Chicago X, Chicago XI, Hot Streets, and Chicago 16. Then go check out Bill Champlin's work with The Sons of Champlin. He also wrote songs for EW&F (of which he won a Grammy for "After The Love Is Gone"), George Benson, Al Jarreau; and has sung with Patti La Belle and Brenda Russell. Chicago has always had what it takes to rock out and get down with the best of them. They were just dismissed by the critics because they refused to kiss butt.
      And a little FYI: In 1973/74, Chicago recorded a song called "Skinny Boy". Doing the bkgd vocals was a little known three woman group who went on to record many hits as The Pointer Sisters. In 1977, Chicago recorded "Take Me Back To Chicago" for their Chicago XI album. Sharing the vocals with Terry Kath was a singer just getting ready to burst on to the scene by the name of Chaka Khan. CHI also did an unreleased song with the Rev. Al Green. I am sure it's on youtube; you should check it out. Enjoy.

      Fired or Let Go LOL same thing and i was right i wasn't positive but i was pretty sure this would be Bill's swan song. Do you have any more info as to why Bill was fired ??? i know he was pretty damn bored. A guy like him i think has to be working on new material and mixing it up. It baffles me as to why a band like Chicago with an arsenal of great tunes hardly or never changed their set list. Stupid Move

  • @marsczar
    @marsczar 15 лет назад +1

    Good points. Although Lee singing any of Terry's parts is fine, it's time that the originals sucked it up and invited Peter back for a tour (final?) or at least for a few special dates. Keith is a back up singer, not capable of lead on Cetera tunes and Scheff's voice is shot. And enough crap with fill in drummers (Tris included) and get Chicago's heart and soul back with the great Danny Seraphine at the helm. Then, wake Bill up behind the B-3 and the real Chicago is ready to rock again.
