I’m 13 gonna be 14 in April and this is great stuff I started playing basketball last year and I wasn’t so good and tried to be a 3 point shooter like everyone else and I started to workout and get stronger and more stamina and focused on what I’m good at defensive player and rebounds like someone who does dirty work and it’s going great
Hey! Absolutely outstanding coaching tips. Logical in your explanation. My two boys, aged 9 and 12 joined a local league here in Bangkok Thailand. This video in particular made a big difference in their understanding of positioning and technique. Bless you Big Dawg!

Hello, can anyone give me some tips because I am a 5'11 center and I am kinda afraid to shoot the ball when I'm already free or a smaller defender because I always think that when I take a shot, I'm putting my team to risk because my shooting power is strong because I always hit it on the top of the board even thought I practice my shots and I suck at rebounding. P.s. I just want some tips because I'm kinda ashamed to myself because smaller kids beat me and I don't do some post moves and dribbling so I'm totally useless. :(
Offense takes skills.
Defense (and rebounds) takes heart.

Same I tried to be a shooter but that didn't work out, should I focus on being a better spot up or be a low post player?
Great explanation! would be nice to have an illustration though, a couple of examples from games, or just a demo

Good mention of Kevin Love. Mr. 20-20 back in the Minnesota days. Beast.
Are there any concerns about picking up a foul with using your forearm to hold off the opposing rebounder?
Thanks for this vid. I needed this vid rn.

Doesnt if I try to box out my guy and he is behind me I then have more than 50% to get the rebound?
