Im 4 minutes in, and already way impressed...............great staff talking to you and camera, and what a great choice, and so much vegan choice. I am not vegan but even I can appreciate that choice.......... awesome. Now at 7 minutes and im drooling............. that meat looked awesome, this has to be by far the best I have seen from your channel. Even cheese burgers and fries together on a stand........... they clearly watch your channel and have picked the best bits and built that place with consumer knowledge.
That seriously looked like one of the best buffets in Vegas. Totally my kind of buffet, little to no seafood, ton's of meat, fried chicken, and other unique stuff. Yummy

The Palace is a bonafide home run..super friendly staff.. excellent selections...wow wow wow..if they maintain the quality of food and friendly staff,you won't be able to get in once the word gets around!!

I think this is definitely the most friendly, happy, interactive and informative staff I’ve seen. I also loved that you were recognized by a viewer. Acknowledging you tubers as trend setters is something that’s changing the way our world is. I love it! And I love this channel. Got to add, when you then added the prices, that blew my mind....................... given its introductory................ I would go eat there for $25 bux given the quality and choice................ wow, 6.99 for breakfast and 8.99 for lunch........ got to the place to go too.

Went to the Palace Station once a few years ago. Went in fresh, came out smelling like a pool hall. The smoke smell was unbelievable . i might brave the smoke again to try this place though

Ill tell you hands down you have the best buffet tv program in my opinion I've watched several others .they show you the 150.00 a person champagne brunch like what average person can do that or they low rent camera is out of focus ect. You try to tell folks the best deal i know i always give you compliments but you earn them outstanding sir
Derrick spumoni= pistachio strawberry and chocolate iced creme w candied fruits(like what you'd find in fruit cake). Goulash beef in a rich tomato sauce w the main seasoning being paprika both sweet and spicy types. I love your vlogs as we like the same things that you do. 👍👍👍

As someone on weight watchers, I'd go HAM on the vegetarian station . We can have meat, don't get me wrong, but I've developed a taste for vegan substitutes...My mouth is watering over the lentil shepherds pie.
I'm still amazed at all the vegetarian food!
I have vegetarian friends who make the most superb vegetarian shepherds pie, in a shallow tin, so not a massive layer of potato. I've tried replicating it but never so good as theirs. They finish it with a golden brown cheese/potato crust. If vege food was always this good I'd be a total convert.

Derek’s videos make it possible to save $$$ on a trip to Vegas. Only eat and gamble at the casinos that have buffets that you like , based on what you see in these reviews. The last time I was in Vegas the only way to judge a buffet was by spending the bucks and then deciding not to eat there again.

Goulash is, indeed, Hungarian stew, similar to what other cultures call “Hunter’s Stew”. It’s made with tomatoes and, most essential, lots of paprika.
Spumoni is traditionally comprised of pistachio, tutti-fruitti (usually with candied fruits), and cappuccino or mocha gelato. Or ice cream usually in the state’s south of Ohio.

My cousin, Mike Manning was the hotel manager at Palace Station in the early 90's. He would give me free hotel rooms and meal tickets. Was so poor, but wife worked at AA and we would fly to vegas for cheap and then get free rooms and meal tickets(lived in DFW). Thanks Mike, enjoy your retirement. PS had the best NY strip for breakfast that I have ever had in my life from here in the early 90's. Was so good for 6$. I actually asked for a 2nd. Hope they are still as good.

Derek... Just for you... (please read if you see this) I just found your channel this past weekend (March, 2019) and I spent most of the weekend viewing a ton of your buffet videos. I'm a fan! Since this video is 8 months old from today you may never see this. The concern is "Vegan."
I moved to Vegas (from Minnesota to get away from all of that winter, lol) in 1980 so I was actually able to visit here as Bingo Palace... pre Palace Station/Station Casinos. They used to have the breakfast special of 2 eggs, 2 sausage or 2 bacon, two bread toasts and hash browns for 49 cents. You could order the "double" for 99 cents on a special square plate designed just for that! (limit one double). After a time they added the buffet. I have to admit it was very lame at best. It never got better.
This review of yours and their upgrade if fabulous! As I mentioned I have become a BIG fan of the many many videos of yours that I watched first time ever in just the last 3 days. Here is what I wanted to point out...
Vegan: Veganism is a type of vegetarian diet that excludes meat, eggs, dairy products and all other animal-derived ingredients. Many vegans also do not eat foods that are processed using animal products, such as refined white sugar and some wines. This is not a scolding and remember, I'm a fan of yours now, and I'm new.
Note that every time you mention "Vegan" to the chef, she typically either shakes her head "Yes" or says "No Meat."
To me, this probably means that many of the preparations may contain some form of dairy, but simply "No Meat," AKA: Not "Vegan." In their opinion, "No Meat" is healthy. Personally I gave up "Red Meat" over 20 years ago but I'm certainly not Vegan. Still consuming the bad raps of some seafoods, chicken... well that's about it. So that station is not Vegan in my opinion.
OK... Just had to express that. You do a wonderful job (in Vegas we say "A fabulous Job" and note that Vegan and Vegas are only a letter away lol). Yes we understand when you can't properly cut some large pieces of food with just your fork because you're holding the camera with your other hand, but you would love to use two hands. Note to you!: When it comes to fried chicken you manage to tripod your camera so that if needed, you can use your knife (aka: both hands) to enjoy all of it! I love it! L O L.
You also have revealed the "secret" of showing up close to the next daypart... ie. lunch to dinner... for the lunch price, but many are cracking down on that. Oops.. secret revealed... but not by me :) Gee... how many times I have done that? I can't count on my fingers and toes.

Oh, I'm definitely eating here when I got to Vegas next February. Been looking for cheap eats. We do Vegas on the cheap when we visit. I mean, Golden Knights tickets are enough money already. We take transit, only doing Uber when absolutely necessary. An experienced traveler told me to stay off the strip to save money. We're staying at either the Excalibur, or the Luxor, because I bought a "deal" and that's my room choice, but I'm not thrilled with the buffet prices there. Seeing gluten-free pasta will make my wife very happy! Cheers to you and thanks for the videos. I'm subscribing.

This is from the wikipedia entry for Spumoni. "Spumone (from spuma or "foam"), plural spumoni, is a molded gelato (a lower-fat Italian form of ice cream) made with layers of different colors and flavors, usually containing candied fruits and nuts.
Typically, it is of three flavors, with a fruit/nut layer between them. The ice cream layers are often mixed with whipped cream. Cherry, Pistachio, and either chocolate or vanilla are the typical flavors of the ice cream layers,[1] and the fruit/nut layer often contains cherry bits-causing the traditional red/pink, green, and brown color combination."
News to me after all these years. I just thought it was a combination of vanilla, chocolate & strawberry ice creams. Maybe some people try to pass that off as spumoni so that's where I got that. I was seem to recall that combination being sold in the frozen section of grocery stores.

I just saw "King Of Buffets" video of Palace Station Feast Buffet and they're open midnight - 8am...the only overnight buffet in Vegas for now. He went about 5 months after you and it's a brunch style buffet overnight and they have the glazed carrots and FRIED CHICKEN‼‼‼ According to their website it's $7.99 with a player's card. They need one on the strip for all of us night owls! Another great video Derek!

The sesame cauliflower was out-of-this world yummy. The polenta was very tasty. I forgot to visit dessert and the rest of the buffet after the veggie section. That has never happened before! Thanks for the video introduction of this buffet!

I haven't seen the whole video but this is exciting. I have a timeshare in Vegas and go to Palace station Everytime I'm there. So I assume the buffet isn't upstairs anymore? Where is the new location? Now the palace station has the best prices how has this upgraded buffet affected the prices?. I was there for lunch last week. I liked it a lot more then the Palms buffet. The price and the selection is better.
Both are pretty great!
Most important Buffett tip, never go to a buffet towards the end of the night. The foods going to be stale, and the selection won't be as good because they will start running out of things, like the donuts for the donut ice cream sandwiches. Also, they will try to hurry you to get your food before they start taking it off. Get there shortly after they start dinner. That's when it's the best.

I was pretty surprised!
The only time I went all the way to Palace Station during my trips to Las Vegas was to try their Oyster Bar because of a friend's recommendation. It was a one hour and 45 minute wait to sit down for the best oysters I've tasted. This buffet seems good and the staff are extremely friendly from your video but wondering what the price will finally be after the promotional period.

hi, new to the channel'ish. from the UK and as a family of 5 when travelling to Europe we generally go AI (all inclusive), as a rule you get drinks (alcohol as well) and food inc. from breakfast usually to about 0000. in most cases your mini fridge in the room is filled up daily. the quality and standards isn't comparative as it is depending which country you go too. but the options are there and Turkey as an example is exquisite tasting with both European with Asian cuisine. Having said that Greek food is probably the best IMO and i'm off in a week to Crete for the 3rd time. i love buffets as they have something for everyone, if it was me and the Mrs only i'd eat in a Taverna's every night but with 3 kids it isn't an affordable option on holiday in order to keep the cost down over the fortnight. Yes, we will eat out some nights paying and we won't have the same fare as the LV buffets have but until you've had a Gyros or proper Kebab you haven't lived. i keep salivating over the meat but with me the only carnivore and the other 4 veggies i love this channel and i so want some USA ribs. i digress though i'd probably be a fat mess.
