Can't say I'm not hurt by your "improved the original by doing the bare minimum" award. Writing vocals, chord progressions, putting heart and soul into every second, adding small details while letting the original shine through just enough was a lot more than the bare minimum or "a bit more of a melody". I respect your opinion, I'd just ask you to put it a bit more gently next time.
