Thanks Craig - a fantastic series of videos crossing the Simpson. Well done. I don't ride - just a 4WD fella who has crossed the Simpson previously. I have provided support to a couple of bike mates along Googs Track (watched that video also), and we hope to go to Finke in 2021 and across the Simpson on the way home. Your videos have given me great insight into the challenges they will face and a much better understanding of the fun they will have. Great work mate - I look forward to your next adventure.

Craig a big call out to you and the boys for your recent Simmo vids, really enjoyed them. I'm getting back into dirt bike touring after a long time away and have found youtubers like yourselves to be an important way to learn about the best bikes, setups, fuel usage, gear, routes, as well as just great entertainment, so again, thankyou for that. I'm currently planning my first foray out to the desert in 2020 (2 riders with 4wd support). Keep up the good work!

a close report on the other bikes... LIKE tire wear etc... was a big lost opportunity... comparisons of the fuel consumptions... my hat off to your team a huge effort AND... all still good mates after 👌🤔.
My neighbour did a simpson crossing solo on his DR650 & reported using 42 liters so it must be a magic number... excellent vlogging thanks for the entertainment, cheers from NZ

Hey Errol, not really a big lost opportunity. The others live over a 1000's kms away from me so makes it hard to see their bikes etc and I did touch on fuel consumption during the vids.
Anyway, thanks for watching mate and sounds like your neighbour did similar fuel use to me. Cheers again and hope all is well in NZ mate.

Craig, Just finished watching your vids of this simpson trip. Watched from the prep all the way through... Mate just wanted to thankyou for the awesome info. As you know there are lots of u tube vids but most have very little useful information. I can honestly say this series was excellent. I am a long time enduro rider ( living in Melbourne gives us access to the Vic High country... which I think is some of the best riding ) but I have enjoyed desert riding for many years ( Northern Vic / Sa ). I have just picked up a KTM 640 adventure bike so all the info you set out was great, as we have a Simspon trip in Mind... Great work on the videos... I know there would have many many hours collating and editing involved... Thanks again for the excellent info... Stay safe and see you out there.... THANKS RIC .

Hi Eric, thanks heaps for the comments mate. Im stoked that the content was liked and fellow riders have enjoyed it. I agree on the Victorian High country, absolutely awesome. I plan to do a adventure ride through there soon. KTM 640 is a classic adventure bike mate with a great reputation.
Good luck on your adventures mate and yes, stay safe and see you out there. Cheers

Hey Sergio and bigdan2080, thanks for the comments guys.
Sorry lads I probably overlooked the water point during the debrief vid. I did touch on it in my preparation video and during the series though.
I carried a 3L camel pack for drinking for all of the trip. I had another 2 x 1L bottles of the back of the pannier bags. I used them for drinking and cooking. Across the desert I added a additional 7L. Totaling 12L for the crossing.
This was divided up between some in my backpack and some into the panniers.
      Cheers guys.

Wow I just finished dinner and poured myself a glass of tequila, we drink that on the west coast of California since we are just north of Baja, so there I am surfing the RUclips and get the notifications of the recap, woohoo, more Shadower 75, yes, after following all of the series, Yes. Okay great recap, but ya left out the different cameras and how you used them, I’m not a video RUclips guy but would like to learn. So Craig ya need to do part #2 with an update please. Gear choice I have the Sungpack tent that you use good piece of kit IMO. OH by the way,the jacket was designed with the rear pocket so you don’t loose your remove-able sleeves, ie Goobs tracks haha. How much water did you carry? Yes I’m planning a Australian ADV ride hopefully in the next year, would seriously like to hook up. If you don’t mind I would like to send my contact info to you. Cheers 🍻🍻🇺🇸🇺🇸

Hey Mark, again mate thanks for the support.
I was going to mention the cameras etc however it would have blown the video out too much so I plan to do a stand alone video on that.
Hahahahah thanks for the tip on the jacket pocket. I could have done with that on the Googs track.
I only carried 5L with me for most of the ride as we had a water source most of the time however across the Simpson Desert I carried 12L.
Not a problem on the details mate, love to try and help out on your Aussie Adv.
