Just pulled off the tape and I'm amazed on how the 1.5mm x 6mm binding adhered to the body, and I did it with one binding strip. A Billy Bo has some funky curves but I was able get it done with the heat gun and patience. Thank for your video! Greg

Awesome! Patience is most definitely a key to getting the job done right!

Yes! I waited about 23 hours before taking off the tape. Not a complete 24, but it was good enough😁@@letsbuildaguitar9230

Great instructional video. I've done a lot of binding on guitars, but always wondered about how well it would work to keep the binding nice and tight while trying to adhere it.

Thanks for all the information and demonstration. I learned a lot. I'm applying a pearl binding on a Billy Bo I'm building.

@@letsbuildaguitar9230 I look forward to new videos on the channel. Glad I found it. Will be attempting my Warmouth Parts guitar shortly. I see you have what looks like the Schaller 475 fixed bridge a few times. I assume you like it? Any tips on using that ?

@@sheldonkorpett1708 I have used them on four guitars now and I really like them...they are so adjustable. I've read an online complaint from someone saying they lost all the sustain on their guitar when they switched to the 475...which is interesting because that has not been my experience at all. I wouldn't hesitate to put them on any of my guitars at this point.

Have you ever tried to make an acoustic guitar? Is it harder than making an electric........ Also Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I haven’t built acoustic guitars primarily because of the investment in some specific tools/clamps that it requires. Maybe sometime I’ll give it a go. For now I enjoy checking out the acoustic lutherie of a friend nearby…J. Rieck guitars out of Sioux Falls SD. I also follow Andrew White guitars out of West Virginia.
