Let me just say that Javier Reyes (along with Scott LePage from Polyphia) is one (TWO!) of the most overlooked and under-appreciated guitarists on the planet.
So glad you reacted to this. AAL quickly stepped up to be one of my most favourite bands after discovering them a few years back. Their technique and ability to play are just out of this world. Even live (seen them live in 2019) they can perform everything perfectly on point. Would love to see more reactions, since this is definitely one of the more mellow songs and their catalogue can get quite intense. I'd suggest Physical Education to slowly get to the more heavy stuff, while not throwing you under the bus with the rhythmic chaos of songs like CAFO.
Not sleeping on Javier. But I have to say, that in their most recent iteration, AAL is definitely Tosin's brain child. But It is 100% Matt's medium of expression. They all perfectly comprise the sound.
I do enjoy these guys and one of my favorite songs. I love the acoustic guitar. It’s mesmerizing and the beginning section sounds great to run to. I’ll definitely put this on my running 🏃♀️ playlist! I like the crazy beat of it. Love the flamenco 💃 flavor! Thanks, Jeff! #goat
Explaining such a song structure is like trying to explain the structure and attraction of a blend of colors. Good Luck and Good Job Tosin. :) - Some things can only be 'felt', not logically explained.. - Great Video.
Glad to see you react to this I would also be curious on your thoughts of Stephen Taranto’s pixel heart verdant I feel like it would be right up your alley.
I'm new to your channel and I was looking at some of your reactions and I was wondering if you have head of The Omnific ? If not please check them out 2 bass guitars and a drummer. Objects de virtu
I just subscribed after watching your Snarky Puppy - Lingus reaction, so glad to see you reacting to AAL! Tosin is one of my favorites. Have you reacted to any Ichika Nito or Tim Henson/Polyphia?
I try to do reaction videos where you can see the artists and not just a static picture if the album cover. It allows me to pick up on more details about the performance.

Agreed!
100% agreed. Tosin and Matt usually get all the praise they deserve, but I put Javier in the same level as them, he's much underrated by people.
Yay, thanks for reacting to this! This is the first time I've won anything, I think.
Well I hope it’s not the last time! 😊
so glad to see you reacting to this band! They are epic, and have amazing time signature manipulation.
Amazing! keep doing animals as leaders please, there are still so much more in their bag

Their music is mind boggling. Truly unique!
I second Physical Education. Ectogenesis too.
"And a drummer...." my heart just broke a little
😂🤣😂 not too minimize the legendary Mat Garstka! ❤️
Combo of surf, and smooth jazz with some tape-loop effects, and time jerk-arounds.

Remember when we saw them accidentally at NAMM?! hahaha
I’m a drummer, but still, everybody is talking about Tosin, but Javier is a fucking god. He is soooooooo clean.
Tosin is one of my fav guitarists big inspo!

Cool song, I have a Animals As Leaders coming up tomorrow. Nice Reaction Jeff.
Thanks Todd. 😊😊😊
One of my favorite guitarists, Tosin Abasi!
He's really in his own class. Dude just thinks differently. Love that.
Digging the contrast between the nylon guitar and that nasty bass/guitar!
Ya, that got me
Glad to see you react to this I would also be curious on your thoughts of Stephen Taranto’s pixel heart verdant I feel like it would be right up your alley.
I'll check him out!

Oh great! Thank you for subscribing! Did you see my two Polyphia reactions? Check them out if you haven't :)
@@StrateleStudios I just fired up your G.O.A.T. reaction, thank you for letting me know about it!
Frank Gambale is the man! The father of sweeping and economy picking! 🤘
Love your reactions!
I love me some Frank..you catch the picture of us together in intro video. I've been following him for years.
Does Tosin have 3 steel and 3 nylon that acoustic? Wild.
Really?! I’ll have to look into that! 😃
Please listen to Extremophile Elite by Between the Buried and Me
I’ll check it out! ☺️👍
Why can’t you react to the studio tracks? Much better quality

This band is strictly for musicians. Dirty loops knows how to bridge the cap between Musician/Non-musician. Cool band though✌🏾
I tend to agree D Ray.
I’m not a musician, and i love them. I do however have a huge interest in progressive and technical music.
Open that brain up a lil more buddy, this ain't strictly for musicians. This is just for people who well.....like music
@@yungmeanmug my brain is open. I don't have a issue with your disagreement but your statement about me is unwarranted.
