I like the arranged soundtrack of KOF 2001 but there are a few exceptions. For example I prefer arcade ost for Fatal Fury team and AOF team also the credits theme sounds better in the arcade.
Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez SNK apparently were like everyone else, they didn't like the artstyle, so they redid it. They did release the Nests Saga for the PS2, but those are straight ports (or emulations for the arcade versions) of both the arcade and DC versions, so they left them unaltered for the Nests Saga release.
well, either way i don't like Nona's artwork for this game. if he could draw back then the characters like he drew them on KOF XII and XIII, it would be less of an eyesore. seriously, most of them look kinda creepy to me.
Some of the characters he did for XII and XIII bothered the hell out of me. Mai had a higher hairline, Athena (she and Mai are 2 of my mains) looked like a moe character, Ralf, Clark, Terry, and some others looked like they had too many steroids in their diet.
@@felixpao84 I know it's in the japan nests collection but it's not in the Europe ps2 port. Which is the only kof 2001 console port in Europe. And in the nests collection there's no option for the English text. It's only an option on the neogeo versions in the collection but it doesn't have the arranged ost.
@@blaze6477 the patch hack the arranged music is for the US and Japanese version of KOF 2001 which is a single disc, the good thing about the PS3 is region free.
These game bring back really good memories. After kof 2003 the KOF games weren't that good and fun anymore. I wish they could still make them like this.
Yes, he was only removed for 02 Unlimited Match, he is intact and unchanged in this port (as well as the DC port, since this technically is the DC port, just on a PS2 disc, official release).
If you have a modded PS2, or a Japanese PS2, by all means, but it isn't that cheap of a collection unless you patiently wait for one on Ebay to be cheap enough. It took me awhile to find one for under $30.
This is my least favorite game of the KOF series. For an conclusion it was awful and the gameplay had so many flaws that I skipped this one on the Arcade.
My god the artwork for this game was terrible. Look at how they drew Xiangfei’s HUD portrait. She looks like a freaking gourd. I know this was during the dark ages but come on. I could do better than that. At least the PS2 version used new artwork that was a hell of a lot more passable.
I like this game.
My favorite of the NESTS saga.
K9999 is my favorite of the new fighters.
Also the arranged sountrack is awesome!

Oh crap the akuma's raging demon
Is that me or Yuri just did a Shungokusatsu?
Is the ps2 version of this compilation has the standalone ps2 version art styles?
Sadly no, but this has something that standalone doesn't, an arranged soundtrack that you hear here.
Bloodreign1 Well, shit. The ps2 standalone has far better art style than the other versions

It really bugs me that they didn't bother to put the arranged soundtrack in the ps2 version like come on. Other than that it's a good port.
There are already hacks to use the Arranged soundtrack in the PS2 version.
@@felixpao84 not everyone has a pc to play on.
@@blaze6477 I play it in PKG format of the PS2 version on PS3. And in you can play it on PC with a PS2 emulator.

can you play with k-9999 in these?

SO i should get KoF Nest on a Ps2 version to be able to play with him? ( I dont have a DC).

At the time I think Robert's company was going through financial trouble, too.

WTF is Yuri's victory image?!

Well, some characters look good.
Mai, K9999, Kula, King (I think she looks better here), Maxima, Ryo (as you can see in this video), Foxy.
Cool…
who watch at 2016?
Soy el único que le parece bonito el tema de zero?
neo-geo aes vs ps2 of kof 2001
What a shitty game. 2000 started the downfall but this was when it turned to crap for a decade
+RayValdezPhotography Was It Because They Took Away The "Striker" System? Would You Say '99 Is Better?
+ChrisJWattsTV of course 99 is better
+RayValdezPhotography Yeah, I Agree!
When did it improve?
