  • Apologies for the bad focus, I had manual focus turned on because my camera's autofocus is really noisy.
    --
Back in winter of 2022 I made a silent test video of my homemade fire alarm system and I thought it'd be the perfect video to showcase it on the channel. I had the audible NAC disabled so it was just flashing lights. The panel uses parts from five different snap circuits sets and has 2 NACs, walk test, battery backup, multiple coding options, strobe syncing, a drill button and more.

    Devices:
    - Multitone horn with dual bulb light
    - Homemade bell
    - LED remote light on flashing circuit
    - Homemade dual action pull station (similar to FCI MS2)
    - Sliding bar pull station (Similar to Gamewell M69)

I made one of the project that's a 0.5-20hz oscillator and then fed the output through the relay with a ton of capacitors across it to lengthen the pulse. To do continuous I just bypass the oscillator with a switch

I didn't know snap circuits offered relays and wall power adapters! If you can put something like that together with that you clearly understand the basic circuitry of an alarm system. Ever thought of working as a technician?

I've recorded a video of how the panel works already and it'll be posted some time in the next century or so. Though I might want to make a few changes if you want to make this into real hardware because I cut a few corners that work in Snap Circuits and not in real electronics
