Try RIT Taupe for UCP it works really well for a deserty camo. Makes the Khaki like Coyote and the Sage like OD Green. It takes the brightness out of the camo. Its a super light dye so you get what you get and for best results do two pounds of material per 1 bottle and follow bottle directions
A friend of mine just dyed his multicam with a similar green and when we were airsofting in a forest I literally either couldn't see him or barely see him at times when he was still and I was only 10 feet away from him. We were on the same team so I knew where he was since we were moving together, but when we got down, it's like he just disappeared.
You’ve been so much help. Been looking for this exact video. I was wondering if you experimented with ocp pouches and had the same result. In the process of building a budget LBE in multicam tropic and having a hard time finding things such as a buttpack. If I could dye a multicam buttpack that would be awesome! Thanks in advance and great video.
@@Bakegaming101 I’ll see what I can do. Though I just moved to a remote part of Alaska. And I can only go to the store once a month or two. So it’ll take some time sadly

Man, that’s looks sick! Love the tutorial for dying the uniforms. I’m partial to Multicam Tropic. I love the pattern for Deep South green overgrowth for hunting.
If you run across any foreign commo, cheap. It would be cool to see that. Maybe contact shops like kommando store and see if they are interested in doing a collaboration video with you. Also, where those pink shoes Corp issued?😊
@@talljesuschrist it ruins the VAT Print and it glows under IR/FLIR, your best bet is to get new in wrap UCP/OCP (some soldiers wash their shit at home and it ruins the VAT Print as well) and get it dirty in your environment and leave it dirty, or you could spend big dollars on ATACs 500D NIR with a VAT Print NIR and use a gentle wash/dry cycle with special detergent (dead down wind)

Fantastic video, super informative and you showed me everything I wanted to know, the comparisons at the end were perfect. Thank you for sharing! I personally like the snow pea a bit better
Personally, I also love multicam. It just sticks out too much in the woods in my state. Especially the pants. They almost glow. But with more green, it works perfectly (Also, we all know MARPAT Woodland is Bestcam 😎)

As a fellow multicam tropical lover looks great I will be trying this out
As a veteran i really don't care if your surplus uniform has names, patches, badges, or ranks.
If you are clearly just training and not claiming shit no one will care. Keep crushing it kings 🫡
@@GWOTalchem you can wear it for whatever you want. Just don't claim to a soldier.
UCP looks awesome after green rit dye. One of the better uses I've found for the pattern.
The 2nd multicam one came out great
M81 contender, IMO.

Great video. Multicam is pretty terrible in most Alabama woods, but tropic MC is perfect. This will make things much easier than finding tropic MC.
Thanks for sharing this with us!! I liked the way all of the camo turned out! Just caught this video&subbed! Thanks! 👍🎯🤝🫡
MC is a bit bright for my conditions, so this is just what I was looking for. Thanks!
Awesome to hear! Always happy to help

I did some OCP tops, pouches and a gortex bivy (turned out the best) they all turned out pretty well.

Wow looks nice, sadly too green for my area, I got more browns being a desert mountain.
Well done. Thx for the color formula.
I couldn’t live with myself if I left that Army tape on anything I was wearing… Thier multicam does look good though after you dyed it. Semper

Have you tried any brown? Very good video. One of the better ones I've searched and seen on RUclips
I haven’t yet. But I do have a set of ACUs left over I can try brown on
The last time I tried to dye UCP with “dark brown” rit dye, it turned purple… I still don’t know what happened
I want to try this with M81 woodland and see if I can get it to look closer to lowland ERDL.
Re: Let me know what other camo patterns you want to see dyed and what colors? ACU

Three color desert
Hahaha ACU what camo is that
Great job. Rit die is the best for doing this.
Great if your in an evergreen forest. Good luck getting past inspection.
That green marpat look good
Needs some more brown to darken the green

I’ll take a look at it. And of course they were lmao only for the Corpsman though
All the snow pee I've ever seen was yellow.
😂😂😂
I do wonder what actual MC would look like, OCP is indeed different and
How does Rit dye act when IR is flashed on it? I know some dyes have chemicals in them that stand out and glow when viewed with nods.
I’m not sure. Don’t have Nods anymore. But I can hit them with my thermal camera tomorrow night or this weekend and post it as an experiment
@@FLOPATTyes, I have a cheap camera with ir night vision. I use it to pick out clothes at stores or military stores. Army 9 yrs.
I tested it myself a while back and rit dye doesn't effect the NIR remission on a piece of gear whatsoever.

Does dying the fabric affect the IR defeating resin?
I’m not sure. I’ll check with my thermal camera this weekend when I post my other video
Just to confirm, at 3:51, that's the one that you dyed twice in the snow pea?
Yes sir. It’s best if you dye it twice to get the best results. Or use double yield
I'd be scared if a 6 foot dude with an AR showed up dressed as the grinch so I guess it works 🤷♂️
It be alright while leaves are green,. Once leaves drop, u gonna stand out like a sore thumb,. Need some browns n grays imo ,.. looks cool though,..
I didn't notice thr ACU end result
