Really like your videos. You're a fine player. I was the guitar player for Cat Stevens' tour in 1976, The Majikat Tour. I worked with him on the Buddha and the Chocolate Box album and then wound up going on the road with him a couple of years later. Great times!

Hey Tom, never apologize for being away because you are living the life with your kids. Now THAT is COOL. Can't go wrong with Townsend and Stevens. It was great to hear this song's chord progression. Hearing it isolated shows its brilliance. Thanks for everything. Saving money for the "Uncle Larry & Cousin GT" album. Can't wait to buy that.

You told us you had those couple years off after the burnout, and i am personally grateful you jumped back in. I'm not sure if all your viewers realize what an amazing gift this is to the world. Thanks!! And keep on being a great dad. Rock & Roll

I'm visiting Nashville right now. Went to Gruhn's and Corey was awesome. We talked about Graphic EQ on the pedalboard, Plumes, Nobels and Blues juniors and got some great advice on using them for gigs. I will be going back. Met John Bolinger, we talked guitars and having white hair! Saw Luke MacQueary, what a sweet guy, I thanked him for the free guitar lesson I got by just watching him. Met Elliot Michael @ Rumbleseat, fun folks there too. And I've only been here 24 hours!
Gibson Garage today, More Luke tonight then off to see Guthrie Trapp who's playing at Rudy's Jazz room. Carters on Sunday and Guitar lesson with Guthrie on Monday, he's playing at the Underdog that night as well.
If I didn't miss my dog so much I might not leave. PS King Siam Thai restaurant Spring Rolls and Padthai noodles, (Medium spicy) ruled.

Tom if you get a whole house generator I highly recommend a Cummins Propane/Natural gas. Only downside is you need a propane tank if you don’t have a gas feed….property and local code might effect decision. They also make diesel and gas generators. I researched this for a year and Cummins was the clear winner. Pete Townsend is a genius, Quadrophenia is a masterpiece, great stuff Tom.

    2. Recently bought a Taylor 12 and it's great! Was not in the market for 12 but took it off the wall in the store and couldn't put it down.
    3. I have an Uncle Larry pick from an Irsay gig! CC DeVille has nothing on you! Poison was the first concert I went to as a kid but I was definitely too far to catch a pick.

Love “You Better You Bet”…”With a neon light for a Visa!” Amazing delivery from Daltrey of course. I reckon Pete used the 1st fret capo gambit a lot…I know he did on “Baba O’Riley”. I’ve been really digging the Ronnie Lane/Townshend tune “My Baby Gives It Away”…”North Country Girl” is fantastic. I always knew it as “Girl From the North Country” from the Dylan version, but it is known variously as “North Country Girl” as well. Great episode for the Home Skoolers…thanks Tom!

I've always loved The Who. I sometimes feel that Pete gets stuck in a thematic rut, in some of the eras there is repetition (I hear some of it in the Chinese Eyes era). Here's the good thing - those themes are great and I could listen to them all day long.
